A little update from us! 🩷

As some of you may know, I'm expecting a little boy very soon, so today is officially my last day of work as I'll be taking some time away from the day-to-day running of Socially Understood to focus on becoming a mum🥹

But don't worry, we're not disappearing!

Alice will be taking the lead with our clients while I'm on maternity leave, keeping everything ticking along and making sure everyone continues to feel supported. And some clients will be receiving some amazing support from Fiona also!

I'll still be hovering in the background a little (because apparently switching off completely isn't my strong point 😂), but the girls have everything in hand and I'm so grateful to have such a brilliant team around me.

Socially Understood will continue as normal, and we'll still be here for your content shoots, social media management and digital products.

It's a big and exciting new chapter for me personally, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the girls continue to do their thing while I get used to life with our little one🩷

Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting our little business. It means more than you know!

There's a lot more to social media management than creating a pretty feed💚

Every business we work with is different, which means the content we create needs to be different, too.

From understanding the audience and planning content around business goals to creating posts that showcase what makes each business special, there's a lot of thought behind what we publish.

We want the content we create to do more than simply look good. It should help people understand the business, build confidence in what it offers and give potential customers a reason to take the next step.

And that's why we never believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every business deserves content that reflects its own personality, goals and audience.

Good content starts with understanding the business behind it🤍 by @socially.understood

If I owned a beauty business, these are three things I’d be posting about regularly👀

✨ What actually happens during your first appointment? Take away some of the uncertainty and help potential clients feel more comfortable before they even walk through your door.

💬 The question clients are always nervous to ask. Think about the things people might be unsure or embarrassed to ask you. Answering them can make a real difference when someone is deciding whether to book.

🤍 What I’d want you to know before booking a treatment. Share your expertise, explain who a treatment is suitable for and help people understand what to expect.

The best content ideas often come from the questions your clients are already asking you.

Rather than just thinking about what you want to post, think about what your potential clients actually want to know.

That’s where some of your most useful content ideas are hiding! by @socially.understood

Social media support isn't one-size-fits-all, and what works for one business might not be right for another🤍

Some business owners love creating their own content but struggle with ideas. Others have plenty to say but don't have the photos and videos to bring it all together. And some would happily hand the whole thing over and never have to think about posting again!

That's why we offer a few different ways to help.

Whether you want to take the DIY route with our content resource, build up a bank of professional content with a shoot, or have us manage your social media for you, there's an option to suit different needs.

There's no point paying for support you don't need, or struggling on your own when a little help could make all the difference.

Not sure which option would suit your business? Get in touch and let's have a chat💚 by @socially.understood

Not everyone who comes across your Instagram is ready to become a customer straight away. And that's completely normal🤍

Some people are discovering your business for the very first time. Others might have been following you for months, quietly getting to know you before they're ready to enquire.

That's why having a mix of content matters.

You need posts that help new people find you, content that shows your expertise and personality, and posts that give potential customers the confidence to take that next step.

If every post is trying to make a sale, you could be missing the opportunity to build relationships with people who simply aren't ready yet.

Think about where your audience might be in their journey and give them a reason to keep coming back.

Good content doesn't just encourage people to buy. It helps them feel ready to buy💚

Save this for when you're planning your next lot of content. by @socially.understood

A lot more goes into social media management than meets the eye👀

Before a post ever makes it onto your feed, there’s research, planning, content creation, caption writing and plenty of thought about what we’re actually trying to achieve.

We’re not just filling up a content calendar for the sake of it. Every post needs to have a purpose, whether that’s reaching new people, building trust, educating an audience or encouraging enquiries.

And once it’s published, we’re still looking at how it’s performing and what we can learn from it.

It’s all the little things behind the scenes that help turn social media from another task on your to-do list into a more considered part of your business.

A little more strategy, a little less guesswork. That’s how we do things at Socially Understood💚 by @socially.understood

If you're a beauty business, your content needs to do more than just showcase your treatments🤍

Of course, beautiful results are important, but think about what goes through someone's mind before they book with you.

They might be wondering whether they'll feel comfortable, what to expect at their first appointment or whether a particular treatment is right for them.

These are all opportunities to create content that builds trust, answers questions and helps potential clients feel confident about booking.

Show them the experience, share your expertise and let them get to know the person behind the business, too.

Because sometimes, it's not the treatment itself that convinces someone to book. It's how confident and comfortable you make them feel.

Save this for your next content planning session! 💚 by @socially.understood

You just need a strategy that works for YOUR business.

You don't need to be on every platform, follow every trend or spend hours creating the perfect reel to have a presence online.

What works for one business won't necessarily work for another, and that's absolutely fine.

Your content should fit your business, your audience and, just as importantly, the time you actually have available.

A little less pressure, a little more purpose. That's how we like to approach social media at Socially Understood.

Because your business has enough going on without Instagram becoming another full-time job💚 by @socially.understood
