We are in a series called Game Changers and Sunday didn’t disappoint.

🏈❤️ GAME CHANGERS: When God Calls an Audible!

We came for football, food, and fellowship, but God had a different playbook! 🙌🏽

What happened at our 2nd Sunday Service brunch was bigger than any game. When sisters had needs, other sisters stepped up. No judgment. No hesitation. Just love in action.

We didn’t just talk about Jesus. We became His hands and feet. ❤️

The boys had WAY too much fun with this one… but don’t worry, coaches have already warned them: PAYBACK IS COMING! 😂🏈

Thank goodness we have amazing coaches who are always good sports and willing to make memories with our boys!

Today is Good Friday and everyone is going to probably say something about Jesus’s death but today, I want to mention the spirit of sleep prior to his death. Can we talk about Peter and Simon’s self imposed laziness in the Garden? Was the garden full of Lavender because these men were suddenly sleepy?

As I reflect on the garden situation, I’ve realized something… the number of times I start praying and end up snoring is honestly disrespectful 😩

Like… Jesus said “watch and pray,” and I’m over here hitting REM sleep like I’m training for a competition. At this point, me and Peter might be a little too similar for comfort.
He fell asleep in the garden… I fall asleep on the couch, in the bed, mid-prayer, sometimes before I even say “Amen.” Lord help me.

But for real—it convicted me.
Because it made me wonder… how many times am I unintentionally denying Christ in the small moments?

Not just sleep… but silence too.
Like when I have the chance to say something about Jesus and don’t.

When I blend in instead of standing out…
When I choose comfort over calling…

Is my silence saying more than my words ever could?

Jesus washing the disciples’ feet teaches us about humility. The King of Kings didn’t demand honor, He demonstrated it through serving.

As Kendrick Lamar says, “Sit down—and stay humble.” This act shows love serves without expectation. If He can kneel, so can I. If He can serve, so must I.
