Welcome to The Invocation. You are invited to partake in an ancient ritual... Inspired by Inside No.9 and The Twilight Zone, THE INVOCATION is an improvised anthology of comedy horror stories. What if Nosferatu was Scouse? Each tale features unimaginable terrors, all inspired by your spine-chilling suggestions. Conjuring ghouls and giggles for 8 years, CASINO IMPROV cast members have individually appeared in: Doctor Who, Ladhood, The Magnus Archives, It's A Sin, and many more. Join Casino for fake candles, real cloaks, and howls of laughter... if you dare. ★★★★ 'A perfect evening of comedy horror.' The Phoenix Remix ★★★★ 'Horrifically enjoyable.' This Friday at @socialrefugemrc Queer folks read their REAL teenage diaries, angsty poetry, thirsty fanfic, terrible tumblr posts & more 🌈📖 Queer Diary is an open-mic style night - sign up now for your spot to share something on the mic 👀 "Hilarious, heartfelt, enlightening, and joyous... The room quickly transforms into a community, where shared laughter and collective recognition create something genuinely special." – Pro Life Plus "A space to look back on our formative years with laughter and kindness… Often funny, sometimes moving and heart-warming, always entertaining." – Reviews Hub "Funny, vulnerable and wonderfully communal... a queer space where our awkward younger selves are finally celebrated."– The List 📷 @greybeanieproductions Supported by Arts Council England 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Description: A Queer Diary audience of 2 dozen people or more, bathed in pink light. The photo is taken from the sids of the stage, so shows rows of people all laughing heartily, several people with heads thrown back and mouths open, with the stage speakers just in front of them. At the top of the photo, bright pink handwriting says "queer diary" with a heart over the i. Typewriter-style font spells out The List quote from above and the date/time (Friday 16 Oct, 7:30pm). At the bottom are the logos for the venue, Arts Council, and Queer Diary's logo (a rainbow bursting from an open book). A Queer Diary audience of 2 dozen people or more, bathed in pink light. PSA: Your Queer Diary sharing does NOT have to be Queer & doesn't have to be a Diary! The night is open to anyone LGBTQIA+ to share whatever u wrote when u were younger. Wanna be part of QD but not got an old diary? Here's some inspiration for other things u could bring to show-and-tell. I also recommend searching your old username for a trip down early-internet memory-lane (i LOVE it when people find their old tumblr or wattpad accounts) Lmk what you find 👀 🌈📖 description: me in front of my bookshelves showing stuff from my desk. I'm a round-faced white millennial with dark wavy shoulder-length hair in a red tshirt. I show a blue diary with a teardrop doodled on the front, another thats white and full of writing with my school timetable on the back, a little pile of stamped letters & postcards, a burgandy folder that says "national record of achievement" in foemal gold lettering, a very long fold-out collage of a river, an A3 red paintsplattered sketchbook with a pink manga-style woman drawn in it, 2 attempted pop-art style prints of my face, and a load of pictures from various fairytale-ish books and films, including characters from labyrinth & the wizard of oz. #queerdiary taken in Manchester, UK by @socialrefugemcr
