Meet the Team: Caroline Hutchison, Producer

Caroline has come on board as a producer alongside Stefan.

Based in Queenstown, Caroline has first worked as an actor and then became a producer and director in theatre - and more recently in film.

Caroline has collaborated with, and is a good friend of, our lead actor Bruce Hopkins. They were part of a group who established a performance theatre together on the waterfront in Auckland in the 1990's. Bruce also appeared in an award-winning short film that Caroline produced in 2024 called I SEE YOU.

The property was used in THE TWO TOWERS for the Rohan villages in the Eastfold that are overrun by Saruman’s forces.

Welcome to Skipper’s Canyon, the location of the Ford of Bruinen.

You need strong nerves to see this location – it’s only accessible by flying into the gorge by helicopter, or driving down one of New Zealand's most thrilling gravel roads, with a sheer drop on one side. Don’t do this in your rental car!

“The Road goes ever on.”

This will be our last post for the #alongexpectedhobbitday Challenge 26, but our journey with Society of the Lost & Found is just beginning.

We are making great progress with the project and will share some exciting updates very soon.

“Eleventy-one years is too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable hobbits.”

Our producer Stefan fondly remembers one of the biggest celebrations any Hobbit has ever witnessed: attending the world premiere of AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY in Wellington back in 2012.

He managed to get quite a few autographs from various cast and crew, including Thorin and Gandalf.

Now that our Kickstarter campaign has been successfully funded, it’s time to say a huge thank you to some special people.
