We established Southern UK Rollers in 2011 to find more roller booters to skate with as everyone was so scattered and fragmented.Social media was the tool we used to build connections and organise skating.Over the years, we have outgrown the 'southern' of our community, so it's time to refocus the work we do beyond this part of the country. After running some taster sessions in Winchester yesterday, I took a few of the Bristol crew around the Stokie Loop. As it turns out, GST's photographer @g._kerekes was one of them. @pittstskatepark is definitely a beacon for skating. There are very few roller discos where you can lay down slalom cones, have a limbo bar and a pyramid ramp; we all have fun and learn with them. And the community is absolutely phenomenal! The improvement of everyone is amazing, it is fantastic to be part of it every Friday.
