🎬 BELLUM (Latin for “war”)

A dying soldier clings to his final mission: finding the young girl he was sent to protect.

Trapped in a liminal space between life and death, he wanders through fragments of memory, distorted realities, and echoes of a past he can no longer trust. As he searches for answers, he encounters a mysterious figure who seems both familiar and impossible to understand—Who is this man? Why does he seem to know the soldier?

With time running out and reality unraveling around him, the mission becomes more than a search for a missing girl. It becomes a confrontation with duty, guilt, and the truths he has spent a lifetime avoiding.

Bellum is a psychological short film about war, memory, and the battle that continues long after the fighting ends.

First of all, we would like to express our gratitude for all the love and support we have received over these past days. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to making this film possible.

Here is a short scene from the movie.

This is a film based on a true story, where we follow two brothers and their struggle against the time they have left.
‘Love is not always about telling the truth – sometimes it is about protecting someone from it.”

If you want to see our shortfilm you can find it on Samsan Film on YouTube. The films name is ELVA. @samsanfilm Filmproduktion

TBT - In 2022 I gathered up my old friends from where I grew up to walk around the old neighborhood and go down memory lane. I grew up in Fornhöjden, Södertälje. It was a wonderful era. I came to Sweden in February, 1983 and gained the best friends you could wish for. I’ve known these guys since then. I was new and they embraced me and welcomed me and my brother to the neighborhood. We were all regular boys on BMX’s and home-made bikes that would be out from morning until the streetlights would turn on. That was literally the code telling us it was time to go home.❤️🙏🏼

On this day we walked through the areas of our childhood, we also went through the forests surrounding the houses we lived in. In these forests we built treehouses, played games, read magazines that weren’t really for us young boys… 🙈🙈🙈🤣, we skied down the hills in the winters, built snow fortresses and so on. The summers were of course the best. The memories are so many. And I am happy to have them with these guys that I still love and care for very much.🙏🏼❤️

Some roles challenge you as an actor. Others challenge you as a human being. A story by @olivtjugoett, directed and shot by @burtinstien.

Working alongside @michalaxelpiotrowski, we had the opportunity to portray two deeply complex characters whose relationship is built on manipulation, deception, and conflicting perceptions of friendship.

At the heart of the story are two characters locked in a complex psychological relationship, each viewing the other through a completely different lens.

Both constantly push and challenge each other’s boundaries, creating a dynamic filled with tension, uncertainty, and shifting power. What one character sees as a meaningful connection, the other may see as something entirely different.

Exploring these contrasting perspectives and the evolving relationship between them was one of the most fascinating aspects of bringing these characters to life.
What makes their dynamic so fascinating is that both characters are constantly testing each other’s limits, yet they are living in completely different realities. One sees a target. The other sees a friend.

Exploring these opposing perspectives and the psychological tension between them was both challenging and rewarding. It’s a reminder of how powerful storytelling can be when trust, betrayal, obsession, and perception collide.

A truly unforgettable experience bringing these characters to life.

Aaaah… The glamour! THE GLAMOUR!! Just one of those days on a film shoot. The rain didn’t stop pouring down that day in 2024 when we were shooting scenes for the wonderful movie GRANNFEJDEN by the great director Ulf Malmros. We have a stuntman in the water, @stuntmakers, a production manager in the boat wondering what I’m doing, @staffank and a location manager singing like an idiot… Me… 😂❤️ And of course our FAD, @maddeedling, giving us directions. What we were looking for? Thats for a whole other day. 😅
