One of the sweetest graces of this season has been watching the Lord answer prayers—not because He is obligated too but because He is who He says He is.

Psalm 86 has become more precious to me as the weeks have gone on.
“ In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.” The confidence of David was never in the strength of His prayers but in the faithfulness of the God who heard them.

I see far more than six weeks of classes or memories. I see a Father who has been kind to answer prayers, faithful to deepen my love for His Word, gracious to surround me with brothers and sisters who have sharpened my faith, and steadfast to equip us for the work of the gospel.
What a gift to know that the same faithful hand that carried us through this season will continue to lead us wherever He is most glorified. Thank you @highlandcm!

Important lessons I learned in my first year of college…

1) It’s okay to change your major — sometimes more than once!
Apparently the world doesn’t come crashing when you don’t have your entire future mapped out. The Lord works in seasons of uncertainty too!

2) My help comes only from the Lord
When everything was overwhelming, the Lord remained steady and unwavering in grace!

3) Surround yourself with Timothy’s
The right community shapes you, strengthens you, and points you to Jesus in everything! Super forever in debt to the people in my circle! They are humble, faithful, and hungry for Jesus! What a gift they are!

4) College is hard— not always academically, but emotionally.
The transition stretched me in ways I never anticipated

5) Mental and Spiritual health should NEVER be neglected!
they are foundational for navigating stressful seasons well

6) Learning to say no is a form of wisdom. Not every task and request is meant to be taken on. Learning to set boundaries is healthy and important

7) The word truly is my sword and shield
Know truth! The enemy schemes in seasons of doubt. Stay rooted in scripture

8) Serve faithfully in the local church!
Use your strengths and gifts to glorify Jesus! Being plugged into a church and serving regularly is truly life-giving!

I see how Jesus has been present in every part of this first year of college. Even in the moments that felt confusing or overwhelming, He was teaching me, shaping me, and reminding me that I am never walking alone. He is so faithful in his promises! So grateful for the friendship I have in Jesus! by @sof_mataa

Hi long post sorry about it, and i’m a little weepy reflecting over this sooo

Tonight was the last time leading with this amazing group of people, if you told me in middle school that my favorite memories in high school were going to be leading worship with as faithful of a band as this one, i wouldn’t have believed you. This ministry and these people have been one of the biggest blessings throughout high school and they have encouraged me constantly! i love them!

Couldn’t help but cry tonight because I have a heart of gratitude towards Jesus for providing me a community and ministry like this one! I am so thankful for them and in awe of how faithful Jesus has been to me even when i didn’t see it sometimes.
Jesus has been so kind in allowing me to serve in this way! This truly makes my heart so glad and refreshes my soul to sing praises to His name!

I am also very thankful and oh so excited to be able to continue serving in this way throughout college, my biggest prayer right now is that through the chaos of college and new things coming up in life that I would not take away from or forget the Lords faithfulness in all of my seasons, and he deserves all of the glory, honor, and praise.

Jesus may you be the center of it all!

Lord thank you for the ministry that has changed the trajectory of my life, thank you for new opportunities, thank you for new communities, thank you for the relationships i’ve made, thank you for giving me a heart of worship, thank you for giving me a desire to serve your bride, thank you for the gospel and your faithfulness from creation to now to your second coming. Lord thank you for it all!
