Powerful yet deeply intimate, @sirene_music is the ultimate Sofar artist!
Having recently moved to Lisbon, she brought her blend of sensitive, captivating strength to our October 8th show. She left us speechless, taking us on a journey through her dreamy, lyrical soundscape that was hard to step away from.

Catch Sirene’s next show at @cossoul.sigc on November 20th!

Music has always had a place in this club, and we’re selective about what fills it. Every artist is chosen for what they bring to the room.

Which is why hosting @sofarlisboa last week felt so natural: a night built around listening, with @makera.music, @sirene_music and @polinika.official each taking their turn.

Next up is @roumemusic on 22 October, in the same room and with the same care.

We were delighted to host @makera.music for his first concert in Lisbon!
Before it started, he shared a bit about his journey, how it began four years ago, but really took off last year. We are definitely going to be hearing more and more about him and his music! Makera opened our show on October 8th at @aethosclublisbon, and it was such a beautiful, emotional performance.

He recently released his first EP « From the Cloud ». Go give it a listen every time you need to release emotions ☁️
Thank you for being part of the Sofar family 🤍

Echoes Beyond Frequency

Somewhere between the organic and the electronic, sound becomes a space of encounter.

On September 18, at Teja House, we came together to listen beyond the familiar, moving through textures, frequencies, rhythms and unexpected sonic territories.

Japa, Nil and Pina Noa brought three distinct sonic practices into the same space, allowing the night to unfold through listening, discovery and connection.

Thank you to everyone who entered this space with us — those who listened closely, stayed curious and became part of the experience. 🖤

Artists:
Pina Noa @pina_noa_
Ni! @ni.shrubbery
Japa @japa_music_

Venue Support: Teja House @tejahouse

Support: Pınar Kahraman @pinarkah

A listening experience shaped around sound, space and the spaces in between.

Our next gathering is on October 25.
Find the details and tickets link in our bio.

See you at the next listening experience. 🖤

On September 18th, Pina Noa @pina_noa_ joined us for a special Sofar Sounds Lisbon night at Teja House. 🤍

Every musical project begins somewhere with a journey, a shared idea, and a desire to create a world of its own. For Pina Noa, that world takes shape through their distinctive sound, spirit and presence on stage.

In our conversation, we got to know the story behind Pina Noa, from their musical beginnings to the ideas that shape the atmosphere they create when they perform.

Thank you, Pina Noa, for bringing your sound and your energy into our Sofar community. We’re excited to follow your journey and see where your music takes you next. Wishing you all the inspiration and success for what’s ahead.

On September 18th, NI! (Leon Sukhodolskii) @ni.shrubbery joined us for a special Sofar Sounds Lisbon night at Teja House. 🤍

Moving between bass clarinet, saxophone, electronics and loops, NI! creates a sound world that is constantly evolving where each performance becomes an opportunity to build, transform and discover something new in the moment.

In our conversation, Leon shared a little about his musical journey and the relationship he has developed with sound, improvisation and live performance.

We’re grateful to have NI! as part of our Sofar community and to witness this ongoing exploration of sound. Thank you, Leon, for sharing your music and your perspective with us. We wish you continued inspiration and success on everything that lies ahead. ✨

On September 18th, Japa joined us for a special Sofar Sounds Lisbon night at Teja House.

Japa explores the intersection of jazz, electronic music, improvisation and live electronics, creating an experimental sound world shaped by live-processed vocals, granular synthesis and electronic sound.

In our conversation, we explored the ideas, processes and sonic explorations behind Japa, and the space where structure, experimentation and improvisation meet.

One of the most exciting and distinctive voices in our Sofar community, we’re very happy to see Japa continuing to explore new sonic territories and to be part of this journey. Thank you, Japa, for sharing your sound, energy and creative world with us. We wish you continued inspiration and success in all your upcoming projects. 🤍

Echoes Beyond Frequency
18 September · Teja House

A night somewhere between the organic and the electronic.
Between sound, space and frequency.

On September 18, we went beyond the expected exploring experimental music, organic electronics and the spaces in between.

A night of textures, rhythms, unexpected sounds and deep listening, brought to life by artists who invited us to experience music in a different way.

A huge thank you to Japa, Ni and Pina Noa for sharing their sounds, energy and unique worlds with us. 🖤

And to everyone who helped shape the night:

Artists: Japa @japa_music_ & Ni! @ni.shrubbery & pina noa @pina_noa_
Video: Tiago Mendesess @tiagomendesess
Venue: Teja House @tejahouse
Support: Pınar Kahraman @pinarkah

And, of course, to everyone who came, listened, discovered and became part of the experience.

Echoes Beyond Frequency
Some sounds stay with you long after the night ends.

NAY is one of those who were born for the stage. Singer, pianist, composer, and acrobatic silk artist: why not bring all of it together?

On July 4th at @jaya_aerial_lab, she performed aerial silk and played her groovy songs in one set.

@naymusics is one of the most talented artists we have in the Sofar community, and we’re very proud of that 🤍
She’ll never stop making new things, so stay tuned! by @sofarlisboa

@kseniia.aerial.dancer introduced us to her world.

She told us that aerials are about so much more than strength and endurance: It’s also about telling a story, sharing emotions with your body. And that’s what she did on July 4th at @jaya_aerial_lab ✨
