Always worth it. by @sofarphoenix

“Where you from?”

“No, where you FROM from?” 👀

We’ve all heard it. But I’ve got a better question…

🎶 If you could play ONE song that tells us where you’re from, what would it be - and why?

I’m building a playlist AND looking for musicians who want to bring their stories to the stage!

Introducing WHERE YOU FROM? 🌍 A new live music series connecting the storytelling, community, and cultural discovery I’ve been building through The MUSE•eum, Centered.PHX, and We Produce Culture with my newest chapter at Sofar Sounds Phoenix.

📍 First stop: Phoenix. The vision: Global.

🎤 MUSICIANS: All genres and musical traditions welcome! DM “WHERE YOU FROM” to express interest in performing.

🎧 MUSIC LOVERS: Drop your song and hometown in the comments. Tag a musician whose story deserves to be heard!

Let’s see how many places we can travel through music before the first show. 🌎

📁 CONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL FILE: DECLASSIFIED 👀🎶

Sofar Sounds (@sofarsounds) is known for keeping its shows a secret. This time, the secret was the producer.

Excited to announce that I’ve officially joined Sofar Sounds Phoenix as a Local Producer! 🎤

If you know me, you know I’ve spent years bringing people together through art, storytelling, and cultural experiences with The MUSE•eum, Centered.PHX, and We Produce Culture.

Now we’re adding more live music, unexpected venues, and opportunities to discover the incredible talent and spaces that make Phoenix special.

And don’t worry, nothing’s going away. We’re just expanding the possibilities! 💅🏾

New rooms. New sounds. Same Muse.

Still thinking about The Common Thread 🤍 A packed room at @tapthatdowntown , full of people showing up for local music and connection.

Thank you to the artists who shared their hearts and stories with us. @danggina making the trip all the way down from Northern AZ to grace us with her vocals, @keasounds returning to the stage for the first time in over two years with @notthomasbowen on the strings, and @coltenhood, who graciously stepped in on short notice and blew the house away. 🔥

Thank you, @kelsearobin, founder of @sadgirlsongsociety, for making it all sound so good, and @tapthat for hosting us and making the night feel like home.

And thank you to our guests for coming throuughhh!

Next one’s tomorrow, and only THREE spots are left 👀
