Closing our August Sofar was @asherera_ , bringing an intimate live set of “Recklessness, Rehabilitation, and Redemption” to the room, alongside @thepoeticthorne on electric guitar and @bento_stev3 on bass.

Raw, unfiltered and unapologetically personal, Asher’s music moves through queer intimacy, identity, freedom and resilience, weaving vulnerability and rebellion into a sound that refuses to stay in one genre.

There was something beautifully restless about the set — originals, unexpected covers and a delicious cluster of indie, alternative and everything in between.

The kind of performance that doesn’t just ask you to listen, but invites you into a world that feels honest, intimate and entirely its own.

And as our final act of the night, Asher, Thorne & Bento gave August the ending it deserved. 🖤

Some artists bring the music. @livingfree91 brings the whole vibe.✨

A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and traveller at heart, Bryan has spent the last decade turning everyday stories into songs that make people dance, stomp and sing along. From playing across 30+ cities to being picked among Nexa Music’s Top 24, he’s built a sound that’s as infectious as it is heartfelt.

And Bryan is no stranger to Sofar. ❤️
After joining us for our 5th Anniversary gig, our Sofar alumnus was back for August — and boy, did he bring the groove!

His set had the room moving, singing along and completely caught up in the moment. The kind of set where you don’t just listen to the songs… you find yourself becoming part of them.

The Fabric of Music. A celebration of 50 shows, countless lessons, and the magic of music. 🧵🎶

Our 50th Sofar Sounds Goa show deserved a theme that spoke to the very heart of what Sofar is about. And what better than music as a teacher? ❤️

Inspired by the Sanskrit word Sutra, meaning a thread or string, @sushkraft artwork beautifully weaves together the threads of music, learning, practice, and discipline. The hand pulling music from the fabric represents the knowledge, emotions, and life lessons we continue to draw from every musical experience.

A fitting theme for our 50th gig, and a visual that truly did justice to the spirit of Sofar. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Sushma for bringing this thoughtful concept to life and giving our celebration such a meaningful visual identity. 🫶

And to our incredible artists @anukritising.h @sharlaine.music and @rocketrajamusic our wonderful guests, and the entire Sofar Goa community, thank you for being part of this milestone and continuing to make every show so special.

50 GIGS. HALF A CENTURY OF SOFAR GOA. ONE UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT. ❤️🎶

September marked a very special milestone for Sofar Sounds Goa — our 50th gig! Half a century of bringing intimate live music experiences to Goa. We celebrated it at a picturesque little corner of Salvador Do Mundo where green fields and an endless sky seemed to play with each other as we began the evening. 🌿☁️🎶

Our home for the night was @sensible.earth — a collectively driven organisation nurturing ideas and action towards a planet where human activity isn’t just resource neutral, but resource positive. And what a beautiful setting it was to gather, listen and celebrate live music.

As the evening unfolded, our incredible artists @anukritising.h @sharlaine.music @rocketrajamusic brought their own sound, stories and energy to the room, while our lovely audience gave them all the love they deserved. There were voices joining in, feet keeping time and plenty of smiles all around. ❤️

And then there was @siacafegoa making sure the music had some serious competition! 😋 Their dhabeli, vada pav and delicious munchies fuelled both our bodies and souls.

A big cheers to our drink partners @roarwithsimba @soberandcoindia and @terrysentme for keeping everyone refreshed and grooving through the evening. 🍻

But we have to talk about the newest addition to the Sofar bar — the Terry Sent Me Afterglow Edition. 💚 Distinctly green. Fresh with cucumber and honeydew melon. 🥒🍈
We tasted it, we loved it, and judging by how quickly everyone got into the groove, so did the crowd! Definitely a crowd favourite and one Afterglow we’re happy to remember. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to @sanjivkhandelwal and the entire Sensible Earth team for opening up this beautiful space and hosting us so warmly.

And to our amazing artists, volunteers and every one of you who showed up— thank you for bringing your energy, your curiosity and your love for music.

September was one for the books. A gig to remember, in a setting we won’t forget anytime soon. ❤️🎶

I am the queen of planning and expecting certain outcomes. Yes, I have visualizer every scenario that can possibly happen in every situation that hasn't even happened!

When @aliana_rodrigues told me about this, my first question was but how do we decide on going without knowing who'll perform. And she asked me to just give it a try. With my anxiety touching the ceiling, I said yes. I had read about @sofarsounds and knew that they've hosted some of the best talents in the world so I knew it would be good, but still!

The sun was almost setting when we arrived and the place looked so beautiful! And then the event started, singers came in one after the other. And as someone who usually only listens to mainstream music, this was soo different and at the same time, soo good! Initially, I was very impatient and all over the place, but eventually I was all in. I felt like I was transported to a different time. It was one of the best things I have tried here in Goa!

Kudos to @sofarsounds_goa for organizing such events and to the amazing singers @livingfree91 , @asherera_ and @b3nding_mind who made the evening so special! Loved each bit of it!

And now… on to Experiment #11. 👀 Next episode: I try listening to music I thought wasn't my type! See how it turns out!

Some voices don’t just fill a room — they make you stop and listen. ❤️

Meet @b3nding_mind Kalyaani— Himachal-born singer-songwriter, storyteller, and a voice that has travelled a rather beautiful road.

After a decade in the corporate world, Kalyaani took the leap into music in 2013, armed with songs, an acoustic guitar and a whole lot of courage. Since then, she’s gone on to release her debut album Noises In My Head, collaborate across genres, and find herself featured in Rolling Stone India and on the TEDx stage.

Her music carries a little bit of everything — bluesy grit, vulnerability, stories of life, loss, love and the questions that stay in our heads.

And then, she brought all of it to our Sofar room. ✨

Her set was intimate, honest and beautifully raw. That voice? We were hooked. And judging by the way our guests leaned in, listened closely and let the music take over — we weren’t the only ones.

🌊Letting go. Finding your rhythm. Finding your freedom 🎶

For our August Sofar Goa gig, artist @medoz.b took the idea of freedom and turned it into something wonderfully whimsical.

At the heart of the artwork, a puppeteer’s hand releases its broken strings, setting a human figure free to fall — not into emptiness, but into a sea of music. 🌊🎵 Surrounded by waves, flowers, music notes and a dreamy Goan landscape, the visual beautifully captures the feeling of letting go, surrendering to the moment, and allowing music to lead the way.

A huge thank you, Medhavi for bringing such a thoughtful and imaginative interpretation to our Independence Day month. 💙

🇮🇳🎶 JAI SOFAR! 🎶🇮🇳

We came for the music. We stayed for the vibes. And somewhere between the songs, “Jai Sofar!” became the unofficial anthem of the night. 😂❤️

Our August gig took us to a beautiful private villa in Bastora, where three incredible artists gave us plenty to sing about — quite literally.

Because this audience didn’t just listen. You sang along in rhythm, found the groove together, and turned the room into one giant chorus. That moment? EPIC. 🔥

And then there was Jimmy 🐶 — the cutest English Cocker Spaniel and possibly the best Sofar host we’ve ever had. He welcomed everyone, supervised the evening and seemed thoroughly invested in the music. Pretty sure he’s a fan now.

📼 FROM THE SOFAR GOA ARCHIVES

A first anniversary. An island. And a voice that took us somewhere else. 🌿🎶

For our 1st Sofar Goa Anniversary in October 2018, we found ourselves at the beautiful @islandhousegoa on Divar Island, where British singer-songwriter @justmanuka took us on a journey with Tribal Man.

Having begun her musical journey at just 12, Manuka’s sound is shaped by an unusual meeting of worlds — Indian folk music and European influences, woven together through years of travel, exploration and self-discovery.

And Tribal Man felt exactly like that — a song about freedom, discovery and losing yourself completely in the world around you. ✨

8 years later, we're still going back to these moments. Because some Sofar memories deserve to be heard again.

And Manuka? We’d love to have you back on a Sofar Goa stage someday. 💛
