We were so grateful to be part of @lilipadlibrary Untold Stories festival - The multilingual Children’s book festival this Sunday at Spore. Sharing the story of Jina to young and grown, encouraging courage and freedom for one’s own voice. In the workshop the most brave and spectacular straw avatars became alive…💫

Imagine you are not older than 9 years old and you just moved to Germany from Somalia, Afghanistan, Peru, Syria, Ukraine or Turkey. Leaving your home behind, your family, friends, school, food and much much more. I wish these amazing brave empathetic world travelers from the welcome class at Joan-Miro-Grundschule could write their own picture books for the litteratur festival. Their stories move mountains.

Was geschieht, wenn Kinder Geschichten nicht nur hören, sondern selbst in sie eintreten, sie verändern und weitererzählen? Join us at HKW Berlin this Saturday. We are part of the Kinderliteraturfest with our storytelling coat and will make magic little stories and books together. It’s about discovery, artistic play and following fantastical ideas. We would love to see you between 12 - 19:30 at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
Discover the beautiful new books and activities by @zulathetribe and more inspiring artists who will shape the day at @hkw_berlin.

UPS we did it again!
10 Picture books marathon between Exploratorium and at Krumulus printshop. This group of children authors and printers blew our minds with their creative stories, ideas and focus the last 5 days.
Story and writing methods, milk pack etching prints and lots more were unfolded. Plus Britney Spears when we had to focus 💞 and dance while working.

Forgotten tales verge on reawakening in Farah Elbahnasawi's Echoes from a Fallen Kingdom, a collection of fourteen original poems illustrated by Sofia Burchardi. Rhythmic, gem-like language recovers the soul of a lost kingdom and its heroic sons and daughters, whose trials of betrayal have exceeded all bounds.

Editions: English (original).

“I hope this zine will be more than a collection of poetry for you. Let it be a transformation, a turning point, a path toward fostering awareness and empathy for the Palestinian cause.”
