North Star 🌟 sun, compass pendant for my beautiful mamas 70th bday. Golden brass and flush set diamond.
Dusting off my setting skills, it’s been a hot second, like riding a bike right?!

Late night studio session. Massaging soft wax into spirals. Bronze Age, Mesopotamian, Minoan inspired. I’m all about curves and flow, a bit like dancing. Think Sufi whirling dervishes of the 13th century, an early form of meditative ecstatic dance 💃 🌀
This piece will be cast in bronze and silver with stones set at the centre of the spirals ✨
Part of a new collection….

Today I finished Amy’s framed flower tattoo, healed photos to come 💙
Enjoying the reverse stencil here, reminds me of days spent etching and printing, I need more me’s to do all the creative things that I’m always dreaming of 🔅♥️🔅

I’m also really appreciating the handpoke process, it’s an ancient art form and feels like a ritual to embed ink and art into skin in this way. The process is much slower than machine but there’s a beauty to the outcome because of this.

Feeling inspired, if you have an idea that you might want to adorn you, I’d love to help it come to life 🌹 by @sofia.milano.designs

Wearable sunshine, talisman pendant… 🌞🪬
lost wax cast in brass; sun spiral with pearl, gold Rutilated quartz and turquoise beads.
The symbol of the sun ☀️ reminding us of rhythm, to rise and then rest… warmth, fire, power, light…
Spirals 🌀 journeying outward and inward, growth, movement, flow, dancing the curves…
What are you shinning your light on and in which direction do you want to flow…

Studio experiments, feeling inspired by the sculptural aspect of carving wax, leaning on the influence of artists like babs Hepworth…
Making is so multi faceted and I can’t seem to conform to one way or style of working. Maybe it goes against the grain, don’t stop where or how your hands want to move and go… by @sofia.milano.designs

New house, new studio, leaning into the transitions and changes and being grateful for these lush spaces. Shedding into autumn and having fun playing with an open mind and just for the fun of it… here’s a little glimpse of the process of wax carving stages before it gets sent to the casters or when I try my hand at sand casting 🔥 happy fall y’all. Love 🫶🏽💃🏻🌞🧡🐚🍄 by @sofia.milano.designs
