WOW! Still absolutely giddy from last night!!! Thank you to everyone who came from near and far to see my senior show! What a wonderful, unforgettable moment! Much love to my family and friends who have cheered me on from the very beginning! Thank you to all the faculty who have mentored me throughout my time at RISD! And to all my fellow showmates, I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to share this experience with. We did it!!!!

For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of illustrating the annual course catalog covers for the Princeton Adult School! @princetonadultschool
The Princeton Adult School is a wonderful organization that offers a wide array of courses to students of all ages! As the school year starts up again and for the first time in 19 years I’m not a student, I’m reflecting a lot on how much I love to learn and how I can continue to learn beyond the classroom!

Speed Portrait Drawing Night @symposiumbooks !!
Thursday, September 3rd @ 6pm

Think speed dating, but drawing instead! In pairs, we will draw each other for 6 mins - and then swap, until everyone has drawn everyone!

Bring your own materials! Anything you have or like to work with - pencils, markers, crayons, watercolor, pastels, and loose sheets of paper so that you can take home the portraits of yourself.

@maddiescalere.art and I were feeling a little jealous of @oli.illustration, @alzoubins , and @alain_soltys_gray ‘s Montana-Alaska road trip —— sooooo we decided we needed to do some plein air adventuring of our own!!! This is the view from the top of Mt. Sugarloaf and from a pond in Florence, MA. Might not quite be as majestic as Montana lol but not too shabby I think :) by @sofia.schreib

Last weekend, I had the incredible honor of presenting to my friends Anna and Miriam, their ketubah, that they so generously asked me to illustrate. A ketubah, or marriage contract, is a Jewish tradition that often features an ornately illustrated border surrounding written and signed vows. This was an extra special project for me because I met Anna when I was three and she was twelve and our families have been neighbors and close friends ever since. When Miriam came to her first backyard bonfire the whole neighborhood immediately fell in love with her witty humor and kind spirit and she embraced our boisterous and somewhat kooky neighborhood traditions wholeheartedly. A huge congratulations and lots of hugs to the beautiful brides! ❤️❤️❤️

I worked together with Miriam and Anna to design the ketubah to feature motifs that felt meaningful to their partnership: their Somerville home, forget-me-not flowers, garlic, pomegranates, shabbat candles, and of course birds! Each of the illustrated birds are ones that they’ve seen together while birding. I completed the final painting using layers of gouache. I had so much fun working on this project and hope to do more ketubahs in the future! by @sofia.schreib
