Sofia Bazan is a sophomore at Greenwood Soccer School in Oklahoma. The defensive center mid, or 6, also plays for Oklahoma Energy FC. She outlined her journey in this Pitch Perfect.
“I started soccer when I was about 3 years old,” she said. “My whole family had played soccer, so I just grew up in the environment and fell in love with it.”
She is a versatile threat who mostly plays defense now.
“Throughout my journey I played multiple positions like forward before getting to my current position, which is playing the 6,” she said.
She wants to play college soccer and go beyond that.
“It has always been my dream to play college soccer then continue my journey and go pro,” she said.
She offered words of wisdom.
“I would say for younger players to keep your head up and keep working because anything is possible if you work for it and to have fun, you are only young for so long,” she said. by @sofia_bazan6
