Yesterday was a huge step in my recovery process being 4 months PO. I completed my first weight room session with my High school team and completed my first jog/run since 5 months! A step closer to returning to the sport I love everyday! @yuzef.yarrito by @sofiaacosta.09

Getting stronger everyday !! by @sofiaacosta.09

Year 2 in the books but with a huge twist 🥲. Thank you @kleincain.ladycanesoccer for always including me with my team and for all your support through this difficult season of my life. I’m more than ready to be back on the pitch with my team and purple jersey!! #regincain #aclcomeback #year2 by @sofiaacosta.09

The hardest days are the best days at physical therapy 💪🏼 Can’t wait to get back on the pitch! #bettereveryday #comeback by @sofiaacosta.09

Today I am 14 weeks PO and l couldn’t be more proud of myself. After surgery I started with a 15 degree bend but now have my ORIGINAL BEND of 145 degrees, from putting no weight on my knee to PUSHING weight, from crutching everywhere to walking anywhere, etc! My injury has thought me a lot of lessons but the most important one i’ve learned about myself is I am incredibly strong, both physically and mentally. I can’t wait until I am cleared to play the sport I love! Thank you to my medical team, God, family, friends, and teammates for your support ❤️⚽️! by @sofiaacosta.09

Even though I can’t play this season because of my ACL, I’m still on the sidelines supporting my team. Bonus: getting to see/ support my club teammates when our schools face off. This journey isn’t over—just taking a detour 🙌🏼🙌🏼 by @sofiaacosta.09
