Fourteen years since I was last in Japan. I studied Japanese economics at university, it never really left me, and I waited until my daughter was old enough to bring my family. Still feels like coming home. So, happy tears…🩶❤️‍🩹 taken in 1 Hotel Tokyo by @sofiaecha

What a makeup artist actually buys at the luxury outlet. I'm not here to overspend, so here's what I picked up and what I passed on:
@bobbibrown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. (The one every client asks about). I always check the batch code online for the expiration date, and everything here was fresh.✨
@esteelauder Double Wear in the original formula, in the $30s. Easy decision once I knew it was fresh.
@maccosmetics has a nice selection of older collections, if you're curious.
Lots of Tom Ford eye palettes too, but I skipped them. I have more than enough eyeshadow.
These two @tomfordbeauty liners I did buy, just for the artistry. They're $51 each in stores and were $32 each here.

Makeup artist empties🛒. What I actually finished and what I’d repurchase.

A small reminder: your beauty empties don’t have to go in the trash. Sephora has a recycling bin in store, and I always rinse my jars at home before I bring them in.💙 by @sofiaecha

Adults rarely get permission to just play, but this Sunday I gave it to myself.🥰
Here is the final look inspired by the work of @paintedbyesther for Tyla’s doll @bratz I got for my daughter and I🧚🏼 I wanted to take the iconic Bratz aesthetic and make it genuinely wearable, adapting the tones for my light skin. Taking the time to just play and create for myself feels like the absolute essence of life right now. It is a beautiful thing when your own children become the guides that lead you back to this playful state of mind🥰💗✨❤️💓 by @sofiaecha

First portfolio makeup for her. Kate's eyes are this rare light color, so I built the whole look around them. That's the part of the job I love most, finding what's already there and making sure the camera sees it too✨
