Sketch of “Two Nudes with a Crescent Moon” by Dorothea Maetzel-Johannsen. This painting has so much power, the colour palette, the shadows, the feelings. Being in front of it, knowing that most of her pieces of art had been destroy because of the classification of “degenerate art“ in the war, make it more important for us to look and admire how this one survive and to show us our society in 1919. “Diving in me”

Who I am when no ones looks? How I express myself? How I act? How do I dress? What I think is important in those moments when I’m by my own? What do I choose to do? How I take care of me?

All this question came to my mind, actually to reaffirm the importance of giving ourself quality time. Something we found ourself so immerse in the routine, in the technology, in the busy world; that we forgot the importance of spare time to take care of us. Maybe doing something that it brings you happiness, or going for a walk, or eating something you like, or meditate, or maybe just reading a book.

🌷SUZANNE VALADON🌷

One of my biggest inspirations. Since I attended to her exhibition in Paris I can’t stop thinking in her work. She learn to paint just looking at friends painting, without attending any formal academy. I think the most unique thing about her painting is the way she portrait woman body, just how it is, without trying to modify. Her work open a world for me to explore.
