I love singing this one! “Vou Deitar e Rolar” by Baden Powell and Paulo César Pinheiro (sung so beautifully by one of my favorite singers Elis).

Live at @monksjazz ❤️‍🔥

When you ask the audience to repeat after you… and they actually repeat everything you sing!

The little surprise at the end when I realized they were still with me 🥹😂

I love call and response moments like this.

Live at @monksjazz ❤️‍🔥

Reunited 🤍 singing my song “Filha, Confia,” that I wrote in honor of them 🐕

I talk about them at every concert before I sing this song (that’s why people started calling it the “dogs song” haha). I missed them so much. So happy to be with those little angels again and get to sing it surrounded by them, on our waterfall adventures 🌿

I love playing with rhythm and dynamics! Here’s part of a vocal improvisation on “Só Danço Samba” by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, live at @monksjazz 🎼

After about 15 years of studying jazz, I see improvisation as a game that requires presence, focus, kindness, technique, but most importantly, letting go of your ego! Allowing that divine creative force to flow through us. I don’t want to be better than anyone. I want to support the musicians around me, be supported by them and let the music embrace everyone who is listening. We embark on a journey and are all connected through the music in that moment. What a beautiful thing that is!
