Home to the iconic 'Grave with the Hands' (that deserves a whole post alone) this lovely cemetery dates back to the 18th century!

Took my @graveyardwanders journal for a little cemetery walk 🖤

With the cozy season upon us what's better than to curl up with a good book in a rainy day? These are some of my favourite books about cemeteries and how humans deal with death through different periods of time in history.

Books mentioned:
•A is for Arsenic
•Rites of Passage
•199 Cemeteries to See Before you Die
•From Here to Eternity
•Over my Dead Body
•Death and the Afterlife

Should I do a part II?

A cemetery inside 12th century ruins? Yes please.
It's known as 'the most melancholic cemetery in the word' 🪦

@chermetery always present 🖤

You and me, a pumpkin spiced latte in hand while petting a friendly cemetery kitty with the other. The wind is rustling through the trees, brown leaves are crunching beneath our stompy boots, soft droplets of rain are coming down on the moss covered tombstones and life feels good again. 🍂🖤🪦🌿

All of this was a reality with @sofias.crypt and our men last weekend. {except for the pumpkin spiced drink, we had that in a cute little cafe after} 🎃

A beautiful oval mausoleum located in one of my favourite cemeteries, Cemitério de Agramonte, which was founded in 1855.

It even has its own small underground crypt 🖤
