Why to rehearse Tango Escenario in the studio with aircon when you can do it in 30+ degrees heat under the sun on the beautiful streets of Tel Aviv?

“You need to hit me” — words of my maestro that still play in my head every time I do a boleo 😅

⚠️ Tango translation: touch your OWN hip with your free leg 🙈

I actually find it a great boleo exercise: try to reach your hip with your free leg — preferably on beat.

It forces you to work on:
• amplitude — actually allowing the free leg to travel
• precision — knowing exactly where that leg is going
• timing — making the contact land with the music

And, as a bonus… a good boleo comes with its own special sound effects 😂💥

Technique, musicality and percussion — all in one.
✨✨✨

Omg I’m obsessed with my new tango shoes from @moshmoshfashion 🌟 so sassy, immediately boost my confidence and elevate my mood 🙌💕🌟

Hand in hand. Facing the stage.

There is something very special in performing Tango Escenario. One thing I recognised a lot is having trust in your partner and connection, togetherness on the entirely next level when getting into the stage for Escenario. This moment when you stand together behind the stage door, listening the previous couple finishing their choreo. You know you are next. You don’t see the stage, only hear the crowd and picture the floor in your head. You are in the grey small corridor in front of the doors.

You are together in this. Only two of you. In a seconds you will get to the stage with no one else but each other to back you up. And you don’t know what’s gonna happen. Maybe you slip, maybe you fall, maybe the heel get caught in the dress. And all this would be visible and need to be fixed in seconds to continue with choreo and make it to the end.

Heart is racing. You hold hands and know you are in this together. Partners.

Door opens, chin up, attitude on, and you go to the face a stage as winners. No matter what 🤝

Huge thanks @juanymanuela.tango for working with us and making this possible ❤️❤️❤️
