Jeg fik en skøn kommentar på min reel om Universets Udvidelse som fortalte hvorfor RØD kunne være en god farve at bruge i mit projekt. Det handler om rødforskydning. Stjernernes lys bliver rødt når de fjerner sig fra os🤓

Kan du lide mit lille eksperiment?
Det har noget at gøre med universets udvidelse😎

Som du måske ved dykker jeg ned i en særlig videnskabelig opdagelse i anledning af Nobelprisens 125 års jubilæum. @12_vilde_opdagelser har spurgt mig om ‘man egentlig kan strikke en Nobelpris?’

Jeg vil lade mig inspirere af naturvidenskaben til undersøgelser og måske et design i løbet af processen.

Jeg er utrolig glad for at være inviteret med i projektet ‘12 vilde opdagelser’, hvor vi skal forsøge at oversætte gigantisk naturvidenskab til noget, vi kan have i hænderne – nemlig garn og masker under hashtagget #nobelvidentilalle

Et univers, der udvider sig: Forskere har opdaget, at universet ikke bare er stort, men at det udvider sig hurtigere og hurtigere hele tiden.
Tænk på en bolledej fyldt med rosiner, der hæver – rosinerne rykker sig længere og længere væk fra hinanden, uanset hvor de er. Skal jeg prøve at strikke det?

5 months away from my creativity with fibres - and also 5 months away from Instagram makes me wonder how to come back. To them both. Part 2.

I’ve been looking at my earlier designs in order to remind me that I have actually created beautiful work already and that I can trust myself to keep doing that.

I have really been in doubt lately. Actually for a while.

When I look at these photos they still bring me joy. And the joy that I feel makes me want to continue to express myself through my creativity. Hallelujah!

These a bright saturated mittens / mohair cuffs. I’ve always been curious about how to make our outfits and existing wardrobes POP some more.

I created these bubble mohair cuffs some years ago and they looked so fab in all their softness peeking out the sleeve of a sweater/cardigan or blazer.

Later I learned that illustrators and pianists use them also for practical warmth doing their thing✍️🎹

This little snippet of me dancing went viral that winter. I guess we all needed some cheering and vibrant energy. It was during my Pop Up at the colorful shop of my friend @byfossdal .

I created and sold several of this handmade design to people in the States, Europe and of course Denmark where I live.

One Summer I was exploring cotton editions of my Bubble Collar designs. The bubbles became smaller because of the thickness (or lack there of) of the cotton strand and a heavier feel to the design.
Cotton is more dense and caresses your body in a different way than the lightness of wool and mohair.
In this design I paired the cotton strand with a hand dyed beautiful thin strand of silk and mohair. Yum!

I’ve had so many fun times with my dear friend @cillevengbergtextiles . She creates such poetic and vibrant plant dyed textiles that she turns into beautiful fashion and interior designs.
We have had several Pop Ups together and shared the space at design markets in Copenhagen.

The most gorgeous free hand knitted one of a kind textured cardigan. The amazing @klarabloch was so kind to let me photograph her wearing it in her shop in Copenhagen.

It’s a good learning to look at older work for me and feel the excitement I still get when looking at them. Thank the goddesses!🙏

Jeg skal vælge mellem 2 vilde opdagelser.

Mulighed nr. 1:
Opdagelsen af Kvasi-krystaller. Og hvad er så det?

Jo, det er specielle materialer med et smukt, perfekt organiseret mønster, som bare aldrig nogensinde gentager sig selv (meget kort fortalt😎)

Jeg kunne f.eks. lave et design med mine ynglings teksturer UDEN at gentage dem i en særlig orden, men hvor helheden stadig er I BALANCE? (Swipe to se a design I’ve created earlier with different textures in no order🧶)

This is what happens when I focus on…

…. designing while creating!
The only plan was to showcase the beauty of this hand-dyed yarn.

The yellow hue has subtle visits of green and brown spots, adding depth. I opted for elongated and textured stitches, guided solely by intuition.

No preconceived notions. This is how I work best🥰🙏
