If you’ve known me at any point over the last decade, chances are you’ve seen a guide dog by my side. 🐾

But Long before a guide dog ever meets the person whose life they’ll change, a whole community has already poured years of time, skill, and love into them. From volunteers and puppy raisers to trainers. And that support doesn’t end at graduation. That’s why Quinlan and I are doing the WAGATHON for @guidingeyes.
This September, we’ll complete 26.2 miles together. Not on a racecourse, but through everyday life: commuting to work, going to church, tandem biking, seeing friends and family, navigating New York City.
Those miles may sound ordinary. To me, they’re not.
They’re independence, confidence, choice, and the freedom to move through my day with less stress.

Starting 2026 with a big life update: After a few meaningful years in Seattle and DC before that, I’m excited to move back to NYC 🗽
Back to family, to a city where anything I could want is a short walk away, to a city that’s easier for me to navigate as a blind person than anywhere else, and to that unmistakable NYC energy I didn’t fully appreciate until I left. Back home.
Also… I’m getting matched with a new guide dog and will start training on January 19. I’m excited and nervous, and I can’t wait to rediscover NYC with
a new adventure buddy by my side 🐾
