Day 1 of Nursery

Our not-so-little Toddler's moving up in the world. She's gonna conquer it all ❤️

25/05 - First Comic Con as a Family

We were worried about going with a little a One year old but Alhamdulillah it went a lot better than expected

She had a sensory overload with all the characters and people but she behaved well!

I realise pics are very #onepiece heavy but thanks to the live action loads more people are cosplaying it and we love to see it!

Lord farquad honestly made me giggle 🤣

Going to this makes the nerds in us very happy 😊

30 MAR '24: One Year of Little Arancina, One Year of Parenting

All I can say is how grateful I am to have this little family of mine. We knew it wasn't going to be smooth sailing but Allah has given us an amazing daughter. She's more curious and mischievous than not but we would have it any other way.

You are One-derful ❤️

18 Aug '23: Five years and a baby

29 APR 2023: Thiry Days of Parenthood

Thank you to everyone who's sent a message either to me or through my parents on Baby's arrival! It's been a steep learning curve over the past few weeks and a lot of adjusting to things.

I ended my confinement period on day 30 and went out to celebrate and Arancina's one month milestone ❤️ Alhamdulillah.

This was our first proper lunch out and we overpacked stuff for baby - just in case 😅

In reality, she slept throughout the whole lunch, we used my mum's and brother's jackets and sweater as the barrier, muslin cloth on me as I was pumping and I asked for a table where we can put our pram.

These days I'm running on low quality sleep, my boobs are always occupied and my days are muddled but I've the best family around to help ❤️

It's not always obvious when you're doing a good job but Alex constantly tells me I am and helps around the house to make sure I'm focussed on feeding baby and getting some rest. My mum's been a super grandma with helping me when Alex is at work and makes sure I take my naps and I've eaten whilst she watches her.

It's also rewarding to see baby starting to grow and see a bit of personality come through.

Alhamdulillah for the last month. Can't wait for the next milestone 🎉

Jan 2023: Dubai 👶🏻🌙

At the beginning of the year I got shingles on my face - thankfully we managed to fly out one last time before we welcome our little Arancina (Sicilian fried rice ball - and no, that's her nickname 😂).

It's been a tough few weeks with recovery and we almost didn't fly out. I still get some quick glances at my scars from people but life goes on and hopefully it'll heal 🤲🏼

Regardless, we had a great time taking it easy for once. Normally, our holidays tend to involve lots of activities and early mornings but now with an extra human in the works, it's been days by the pool, beach, walks by the Marina and a whole lot of eating 😂

Thank you to the random stranger who made us look taller/skinnier 😂

03 Dec: New Leonardi Loading....

Alhamdulillah, we've been blessed with our own human to take care of 💖

We weren't planning to start a family yet but Allah has other plans and is the best of planners.

We've enjoyed keeping this to ourselves for the longest time 😅 All I ask is for your prayers for a continued smooth pregnancy and a healthy, happy baby when she decides to arrive next year 😊
