I really love Forte dei Marmi 🤍 One of my favorite places for a beach day- the sand is soft and beautiful and the sea is perfect for a long, lazy swim. I also love just walking around the little streets, stopping for coffee and checking out the boutiques. And of course a walk along the pier is a must, especially around sunset. Definitely a place I would recommend visiting if you’re in Tuscany.

📈Recently I attended a quant trading event in Amsterdam where companies like IMC, Optiver, and Flow Traders took part.

We were split into teams and given a series of challenges designed to simulate real trading conditions: limited time, uncertainty, and fast decision-making.

Here are a few examples:

Round 2: Regular dice throw
* Dice A: costs 10 tokens
* Dice B: free
* Choice is kept secret
* Reveal simultaneously on signal

Rapid Fire 6
* Trade or No Trade (you can pay to see the outcome)
* 20 seconds
* 1–3 -> +6 tokens
* 4–6 -> +4 tokens
* Hedge: -2 tokens
* Decision: trade / no trade (+ optional hedge)
* Fastest +1 point, slowest -1

Rapid Fire 9
* 10 seconds
* 2 dice
* Sum ≥ 10 -> +6
* Otherwise -> -2
* Trade or no trade
* Fastest +1, slowest -1

At some point I stop doing the math and just feel what’s right -but in the end, it’s more about how fast you decide and whether you stick with it.

📈💹🦁At the end of March, I presented a project at the ING office in Frankfurt - the result of the last 8 months of work.

An AI agent for online banking focused on a younger audience: interactive features, gamification, and simple explanations of financial concepts without unnecessary complexity. The latest and most advanced features were integrated to make the experience as intuitive and relevant as possible.

The project is designed for students, school pupils, and young professionals - to make finance more understandable and part of everyday life.

The project also caught the attention of the CEO of ING Germany.

I recently attended Madama Butterfly at the opera house in Munich 🎭🦋
Here are a few facts I found especially interesting:

🌏 1. Based on a real story
The plot was inspired by a real-life story of a Japanese woman and an American officer.
It evolved from a story by John Luther Long into a play by David Belasco, and then into the opera.

🦋 2. The heroine’s name is symbolic
“Cio-Cio-San” means “butterfly,” symbolizing beauty, fragility, and a fleeting life.

🎶 3. Real Japanese melodies are used
Giacomo Puccini studied Japanese music and included authentic melodies in the score.

💔 4. Famous aria “Un bel dì vedremo”
One of opera’s most emotional arias, where the heroine dreams of her lover’s return.

🎭 5. A failed premiere that became a hit
The 1904 premiere at La Scala was a disaster, but after revisions it became a global classic.
