I’m very happy to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Alabama! ❤️🐘
I want to say a huge thank you to Coach Michael @mdubs95 and Nico @eliteswimrecruitment for guiding me through this entire process and believing in me. I’m also incredibly grateful for my family, my coaches back home, and God for supporting me every step of the way.

Huge congratulations to sprinter from Kazakhstan, Sofiya Abubakirova, on her commitment to the University of Alabama!

Sofiya is a World Junior semi-finalist and will be joining one of the top D1 sprint programs in the nation as part of the Crimson Tide. We’re incredibly excited to see all that she’ll achieve both in the pool and in the classroom.

It’s been a pleasure supporting Sofiya throughout her recruitment journey! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for her as an Alabama Roll Tide!
