POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

QOTD: What’s the book release you’re most excited for this month? ✨

🥭 Mango book tag 🥭

Rex aka @my.book.nooks tagged me a while ago in this so I’m sharing my answers & tagging some friends too 💫

🥭 Freshly picked mango || A recent book that felt refreshing and instantly enjoyable.
•One dark window by Rachel Gillig. Amazing, 10/10 would always recommend.

🌶️ Mango with chili || A romance with tension, chemistry and heat.
•Betting on you by Lynn Painter
•Summer in the city by Alex Aster
•Unsteady by Peyton Corinne

🍚 Mango sticky rice || A cozy book that you’d reread or that feels like a warm hug.
•I’d reread One dark window or Divine rivals.
•Heartstopper vol 1 feels like a warm hug

☀️ Golden mango || That one book (or series) you’ll never stop recommending.
•Throne of glass always & forever even if I haven’t read a half the series yet lol

🤢 Overripe mango || It had potential but something just didn’t hit.
•Heartless. I sadly feel like it didn’t live up to the hype and expectations

AOTD: I’ve seen a lot of Threshing day excitement all over bookstagram, I haven’t read the books yet but it’s making me want to dive in asap & join in all the fun 🤩 Some other exciting releases are Escape me by Tahereh Mafi & Victorious by V.E. Schwab 🖤

QOTD: How many books are you currently reading? 👀

Books you associate me with + Bookstagram backstory tag ❤️‍🔥

I asked you in my stories a while ago which books you associate me with & these were your answers:
• Divine rivals • One dark window • All the young dudes • Coraline • ToG • Heartstopper 🥰

✨ When did you join bookstagram?
I finally joined on July 30th, 2020, so crazy!

👑 What inspired your username?
I basically wanted my booksta to be my own kingdom of books

💖 What’s your fave part of booksta?
All the friends I’ve made throughout the years & being able to share my love for books

📚 What book booksta made you buy?
There’s loads! Basically all the og booksta recs like Caraval, the grishaverse, if we were villains, OUABH, etc

🎨 What’s your account aesthetic / vibe?
I don’t have a specific one, I think it’s just colorful

🌳 What are some recent faves?
The One dark window duology is probably my fave oils of the year so far

📜 What was the 1st review you posted?
I think my first proper review I posted was The Crowns of Croswald by @author.denight back in 2021. I still think about that book to this day, that’s how creative and interesting it is, go read it! haha

Saw @ thehotgirlsbookclub doing the booksta tag literally years ago & I had it saved bc I really wanted to do it & the time finally came 🫢😂 Tagged a couple friends but feel free to join even if I didn’t tagged you!

QOTD: What are your top 3 reads of the year so far? 📚

As always I’m sharing some pics & vids from last month. August was a fun month:
•Spent time reading outside 🌳☀️
•Celebrated my aunts bday with a cute & very fancy tea party 🫖
•Had loads of burgers 🍔
•Went to a childhood friend’s bday reunion where we decorated paper crowns & played board games ♟️
•Joined the virtual Coraline watch party 🪡

& more! Which I’ll share in my next post because I can’t share all the pics in one carousel 😅😂

AOTD: One dark window, City of bones and Betting on you 💞

✨ Hell is other people, I’ve heard ✨

QOTD: If you were trapped in the world of your current read, where would you be? 🗝️
Or have you read Katabasis?

Can you believe August is coming to an end? I certainly can’t 😅 I feel like I skipped it tbh, literally rushed by me, but one thing I love about it is that the best part of the year is almost here: 🍂 autumn 🍂

Which also means really exciting seasonal reads 🤩 one of my most anticipated reads for the upcoming months is Katabasis & I’m both excited & a little intimidated by it but I’m sure I’ll love it. I actually started it a couple days ago but have been neglecting it a little not going to lie, I guess that’s the price I pay for having multiple current reads 😂

QOTD: Which book will be your last of august? 🍎

This is basically what the last days of July consisted of: museum visits & frolicking through its gardens, stumbling upon a group of artists playing & dancing to music from Veracruz, having Pho for the first time ever & really good chai, updating my last notes of Two twisted crowns & meeting the lovely Alice Oseman 💞 it was quite the month!

QOTD: What’s an upcoming book release you’re excited about? 💗📚
(other than acotar 😂)

I’ve sucked at sharing my July pics & videos & I know august is coming to an end but I still want to share them so here you have July pt.2 ✨

♥️ Reading picnics are literally some of my favorite things about summer.
😍 Read about 50% of Immortal consequences, it’s definitely annotation worthy & the slow burn is so romantic & cute.
🌳 Finished adding notes from Two twisted crowns to my Goodreads cause I couldn’t bring myself to do it while reading the book because it was too distracting so I did it after to mourn finishing such a great story.
🎨 Visited a museum & walked around beautiful gardens with my twin & some family friends we hadn’t seen since last year. It was pretty nice, quite cathartic.

QOTD: Have you ever been part of a book club? 🍓📖📚

My twin, Rex (@my.book.nooks ), & I have a book club with a lovely friend of ours, Ana. We share loads of bookish interest & have read quite a few books together already, the last being Heartless by Marissa Meyer, but unlike our previous reads, it took me SO long to read it while Rex & Ana finished it ages ago 😅

Luckily I braved the storm & finished it last month 😂 so now we can finally get together to discuss it & start out next read 🙌 You can see from this reel how ready they were for me to finish it 😆

QOTD: Have you ever been to a book signing? ✨

It’s my 6 year bookstaversary!!! 🥳

Well… it was actually on July 30th so it was last week 😂😅 but that day I was a bit busy attending my first ever book signing & meeting the amazing @aliceoseman !!

Can’t think of a more epic way to celebrate a bookish anniversary 💖

It was such a rollercoaster and overall a great experience, made some new bookish friends, took loads of pictures and videos as you can see here 🤩 and got to meet Alice, give her a little something from my sisters and I, and got my book signed 🥰 It was so so cool!
