It’s taken me a while to work up the confidence to do this- because for many reasons, sharing my music with the world feels terrifying.
I started working on this record in 2020. It started with some ideas that came to me as I was falling asleep or waking up, strange melodies and chord progressions from that in-between place. And then I was given a demo tape of songs that my dad wrote and recorded before he passed away. The tape was pretty warbly sounding and I couldn’t really make out all of the lyrics. After some reworking, two of those songs made it on this record. It’s been through a lot and it’s finally out in the world today. The record is called “In Curved Air”

Thank you to @theeetone for coproducing, engineering and mixing everything. You rock.
And thanks @danny_goliger @c0ryhans0n @leelandey @marley_jones1999 @oogbogo @shelbyjacobson and Corey Madden for their musical contributions. Thank you @tysegall having us at Harmonizer Studios. Thanks @jennynirgends and @elliepritts for your animation talents. Thank you @henrydillon for the much needed support and encouragement.

Thanks @_marioluna and Veronika Syrop for their work on the cover art. Photo of me by @tulitorm from back in the day.

As the mollusk grows, it adds new layers of calcium, carbonate, and proteins to its shell to make room for its body.

Today my mom’s double LP “Earthly Pleasures” comes out on @dragcityrecords ‼️ @jillfrasermusic
She took a bunch of old revival style hymns and dissected them, rearranged them, deconstructed them, and reinterpreted them for her serge modular synthesizer system that she built herself. Imagine if aliens or artificial intelligence was trying to play this music somehow. That’s kind of what it sounds like. It’s really beautiful. I’m so proud of her. Go listen to it wherever you listen to music, or even better- buy the record!!!
Thanks to everyone who worked on it. Mixing @danny_goliger Viola @marshweedinthegarden Bass @reggiehamiltonbass Artwork @slubicz by @sofoio
