Tillykke med jeres 1 års fødselsdag, elskede Mira og Levi ♥️♥️

Selvom jeres fødsel for nu et år siden har efterladt mig med ar på krop og sjæl, har I to givet mig mere kærlighed og glæde end jeg kunne ønske mig. I er mit livs mirakler, de sejeste jeg kender og en evig kilde til inspiration. Jeg elsker jer uendeligt. by @sofreewesth

I dag kom vi hjem efter 2,5 måneders indlæggelse frem og tilbage mellem intensivafdelingen på Riget og den mere semiakutte tilværelse på Herlev Hospital. Hvad vi ikke har været igennem i det her forløb.. Levi og Mira har kæmpet først for overlevelse, så infektioner og til sidst for at lære trække vejret uden respiratorisk støtte. I dag er de “store” og skal med os hjem og bo. Selvom vi kan virke fattede i den kommende tid, forstår vi stadig ikke helt selv, hvad vi har været igennem. Traumet har ligesom ikke helt rodfæstet sig endnu. Men wow, vi er forældre til de to dejligste børn på nu 3,1 kg (Levi) og 2,5 kg (Mira) og vi glæder os til at introducere dem til vores verden - jer - udenfor hospitalerne 💜

Today we came home after 2.5 months of hospitalization back and forth between the intensive care unit at Riget and the more semi-acute life at Herlev Hospital. What we haven’t been through in this process.. Levi and Mira have fought first for survival, then infections and finally to learn to breathe without respiratory support. Today they are “big” and will come home with us to live. Even though we may seem composed in the coming time, we still don’t fully understand what we have been through. The trauma has not quite taken root yet. But wow, we are parents to the two most wonderful children, now 3.1 kg (Levi) and 2.5 kg (Mira) and we are looking forward to introducing them to our world - you - outside the hospitals 💜 by @sofreewesth

Vores lille familie er nu blevet overflyttet til Herlev Hospital. Forandringer føles voldsomme, når man står i en situation som vores, men vurderingen er, at børnene er stabile nok og ikke kræver samme intensive pleje længere. De er stadig skrøbelige, sårbare og kræver en masse omsorg og pleje, men vi håber selvfølgelig på, at dette er et skridt tættere på at komme hjem allesammen.

Endnu engang tak til alle på GN på Rigshospitalet, som på alle måder har været de vidner og hjælpende hænder vi havde brug for i Levi og Miras første 14 dage.

Og tak til alle jer, der har sendt blomster, gaver, snacks og er kommet med hjemmelavede måltider til Frederik og jeg. Herlev er jo ikke placeret centralt i København, men vi håber stadig på selskab en gang imellem, fordi vi skal være her i en del uger, ja måneder, endnu.

Our little family has now been transferred to Herlev Hospital. Changes feel drastic when you are in a situation like ours, but the assessment is that the children are stable enough and do not require the same intensive care anymore. They are still fragile, vulnerable and require a lot of care and nurturing, but we of course hope that this is a step closer to everyone coming home.

Once again, thank you to everyone at GN at Rigshospitalet, who in every way have been the witnesses and helping hands we needed in Levi and Mira’s first 14 days.

And thank you to all of you who have sent flowers, gifts, snacks and have brought home-cooked meals to Frederik and I. Herlev is not centrally located in Copenhagen, but we still hope for company once in a while, because we will be here for a number of weeks, even months, to come. by @sofreewesth

Søndag d. 1. september kl. 00:56 og 00:57, meldte Levi og Mira deres ankomst 3 måneder for tidligt. Intet tredje trimester, ingen fødselsforberedelse og ingen tegn på, at dette ville ske. Men børnene ville ud, selvom vi kæmpede i 28 timer for, at de kunne være blevet lidt længere i min mave.

Frederik, Mira, Levi og jeg er nu flyttet på intensivafdelingen for behandling af for tidligt fødte børn på Riget, en indlæggelse der forventes at vare til slutningen af deres termin i november. En rutsjebanetur uden lige, men ungerne arver allerede deres fars og mors styrke og klarer det indtil videre flot. Mira er mild og holder os meget i hånden, Levi sparker dynen af med sine lange ben og stemmer gerne i, når vi synger for dem. Et stort tak skal allerede lyde til overlæger, afdelingslæger og præmaturesygeplekersker som passer på os 24/7.

Frederik og jeg tjekker derfor ud af studie, arbejde og begivenheder for at være 100 procent til stede for og med vores elskede børn.

Hver dag er en gave.

On Sunday, September 1st at 00:06 and 00:07, Levi and Mira announced their arrival 3 months too early. No third trimester, no birth preparation and no sign that this would happen. But the children wanted to come out, we fought for 28 hours so that they could have stayed a little longer in my belly.

Frederik, Mira, Levi and I have now moved to the intensive care unit for the treatment of premature babies at Riget, a hospital stay that is expected to last until the end of their term in November. A rollercoaster ride without equal, but the babies are already inheriting their father and mother’s strength and are doing great so far. Mira is gentle and holds our hands a lot, Levi kicks off the covers with his long legs and likes to join in when we sing to them. A big thank you must already go to the senior doctors, ward doctors and premature nurses who look after us 24/7.

Frederik and I therefore check out of studies, work and events to be 100 percent present for and with our beloved children.

“Gold“ er Frederik Tøt Godsks første soloudstilling. Udstillingen finder sted i Udstillingsstedet Q og fremmaner en række apokalypser: Værker, der centrerer sig om åbenbaringer af undergange, overgange og begyndelser. Gennem egne værker, og en række kollaborative værker med Erdal Bilici, Emilia Marienlund Klint og Sofie Westh, formes en skulpturel kollage af materialer som metal, asfalt og glas. Værkerne låner motiver fra hellige geometriske mønstre og flammende syner, og undersøger goldhed, frugtbarhed, evighed og flygtighed. Udstillingen består næsten udelukkende af fundne genstande og materialer, der har udtjent deres oprindelige funktion, og nu placeres indenfor en symbolik uden dertilhørende ritualer. Gennem de overlevende materialer opstår et forsøg på at præsentere glimt af verdener på tærsklen mellem tilsynekomster og forsvindinger

“Gold" is Frederik Tøt Godsk's first solo exhibition. The exhibition takes place at Udstillingsstedet Q and conjures a series of apocalypses: works that center on revelations of endings, transitions, and beginnings. Through own works and a series of collaborative pieces with Erdal Bilici, Emilia Marienlund Klint, and Sofie Westh, a sculptural collage is formed using materials such as metal, asphalt, and glass.

The works loans its motifs from sacred geometric patterns and fiery visions, exploring barrenness, fertility, eternity, and transience. The exhibition consists almost entirely of found objects and materials that have outlived their original function and are now placed within a symbolic framework without accompanying rituals. Through these surviving materials, an attempt is made to present glimpses of worlds on the threshold between appearances and disappearances.

Roskilde Festival 2022 🧡

Senso is closing Rising stage at 23:00 on June 27th. It’s gonna be massive!

Another Life will be hosting a talk 16:15 on the Flokkr stage and collect data about the impact of representation from 10-14 on June 26th. Come say hi!

Blikfang has kindly asked me to play bass with them again. This time 18:30 at Rising June 28th. Can’t wait!

Last night @anotherlifecommunity won the Initiativprisen at Steppeulven, which is a critic's award, where we were nominated for this year's initiative award. We were nominated in a strong field consisting of @kfp.cph and @rapolitics. Being nominated is a celebration and a victory in itself but of course we’re excited about this recognition of our work.

The fact that there is a panel of critics who have chosen one of us as the winner does not mean that some of our work is better or more important than the other. The fact that there are many, and many more than the three of us, working towards a more balanced music industry is amazing.

We are happy with this award because it is a recognition of our work and our agendas. One of our agendas is that the music industry extends the work with representation and equality to also include the work of the intersections of age, ethnicity, body abilities, skin color, gender identity, religion, sexuality and socioeconomic class.

I will be celebrating my birthday, being done with my bachelor project and moving to London at this very special end of the year event at Musik Loppen:

Emma and I have invited our dearest friends from Pardans to play for the very first time since their legendary Roskilde '19 show. All new material, yay!

It's an honour to present UK-based band bar italia as well. With Dean Blunt as one of the collaborators on Nina Cristantes project this for sure will be one for the books.
