november MOVE brings our focus to the front body.

we’re working through movements that build strength across the chest, shoulders, arms, and core. expect pilates sequences that challenge your upper body and yoga practices that explore strength, stability, and endurance through the front line. by @sofstudios.co

come claim your lost items before they’re given away, softies! by @sofstudios.co

october, through our the lens of our softies.

from showing up for class to squeezing in that mandatory group selfie after, it’s these everyday moments that make sof feel a little more like home.
keep tagging us and thank you for being part of our little corner of the world. by @sofstudios.co

you might recognise her as one of our very own softies... and now, we’re so happy to welcome Amanda to the sof team 🤍

from being part of our community to now guiding others through their practice, we’re so excited to have her on this side of the studio.

Amanda will be teaching mat pilates, starting with a community class this sunday! you’ll also find her on our schedule from next week onwards.

if you’ve been meaning to join her class, this is your sign.

let’s give Amanda the warmest welcome to the team! by @sofstudios.co

cozy food, a good workout at @sofstudios.co, beaches within our reach, and evening drinks at @bar.abong. life in kota kinabalu really can’t get any better than this by @sofstudios.co

one of our focus moves for this month’s sof move: the standing split. maybe you’ve already tried it in class. even then, you might wonder, why is it so hard?

standard splits let you use the ground for leverage, but with standing splits, you’re fighting gravity when you lift that top leg high.

here’s Nadia demonstrating how you can practice it on your own at home. lots of quads involved, but you can definitely build up your strength to get there. otherwise, come flow with us in the studio, and our yoga instructors will guide you through it. by @sofstudios.co

Single leg shoulder bridge is more than just getting the hips off the mat. The focus is on staying steady through the pelvis while one leg does the work, building strength through the glutes and hamstrings without losing control 🔥

It’s harder than it looks! On the mat or on the reformer, this exercise is gonna help you build power on the courts 🫣🫣 by @sofstudios.co

a little look into crystal’s pilates and yoga journey before her big day

a wedding comes with so much excitement, but also a lot to juggle. through it all, pilates and yoga became something she could come back to. to feel good in her body and simply take a moment to relax.

we’re so grateful to have been a small part of this chapter and to celebrate such a special milestone with crystal! by @sofstudios.co

before we get into another week, here’s a little appreciation post for the people who make sof what it is.

whether you’re here to move, try something different, meet new people, or just spend a little time doing what you love, there’s a place for you here.

and to everyone who’s joined us for our free flow, thank you for showing up, moving with us, and making the space feel a little more like home.

spot yourself? keep tagging us! we love being part of the moments you share here. by @sofstudios.co

no, Courtney did not extort them to promote her classes! jokes aside, thank you to these gentlemen all the way from the States for taking the time of their day to not just join class at our studio, but also to give us this kind and wholesome interview session.

are you in Kota Kinabalu, and seeing us for the first time? maybe it’s time to give Yoga & Pilates a shot right here:

this month is all about control.

we’re slowing things down enough to notice the details, moving with intention, staying connected through each transition, and finding steadiness even when the movement gets challenging.

here’s the truth: pilates isn’t as easy as it looks, but finishing a class can make you feel ready to take on the rest of your day.

Sasha is a busy woman who finds sanctuary in slowing down and taking a breather in Pilates.

watch what she has to say about how strength can look like in knowing when to pause and simply be present. by @sofstudios.co
