my hair was feeling a little dull… so I turned straight to nature 🌿

A simple, 3-ingredient homemade hair mask for a little extra moisture, softness & shine.

🌿 fresh aloe vera ~ hydrates, softens & soothes the scalp

🍯 raw honey ~ a natural humectant that helps attract & retain moisture

💧 jojoba oil ~ conditions, adds shine & helps reduce dryness

the recipe:
3 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp jojoba oil

blend until smooth, apply to damp hair & leave for 15–20 minutes before rinsing (and shampooing).

Make sure to use only the clear inner aloe gel, removing the yellow sap & green skin. patch test first!

Simple haircare, straight from nature.

Save this for your next wash day 🤎

there’s something a bit ironic about heading outside to reconnect with nature while wearing synthetic fibres🥲

the more intentional I’ve become about what I eat, use & bring into our home, the more I’ve started thinking about what I wear…

doesn’t mean everything I own is made from natural fibres, but when it comes to buying something new? Cotton, linen & hemp all the way.

Some little boys wake up and get dressed. Ours wakes up and goes on an adventure…. still in his PJs🤎

Our mornings start early. Like, really early…. Somewhere between 4:30 and 6am early 😅

I take the night shift, and around 6am my husband takes over. The two of them hop on the motorbike and head down to the beach for their little morning adventures, while I get a quiet hour with my tea and a book.

They watch the sunrise, say hello to the cows, explore the beaches and come home with sandy feet and stories to tell.

It’s become one of my favourite little rhythms of our life here.

And looking at these photos my husband took, I can’t help but think how beautiful it is that this is just an ordinary morning to our little boy.

One day, I think we’ll miss these mornings alot🥹

My little morning routine 🤎

My husband takes over toddler duty for a bit before 7, so I get a little time to read, drink my green tea (almost 2 years without coffee 🫡) and get ready for the day.

@nakedtallow has pretty much been my entire skincare routine for over a year now, so naturally she’s part of it too 😂🤎
