@francoisknyc edit/mix of Jermaine Jackson’s Erucu.

@chris_soft_rocks put it onto a @bisradio mix once and tracklisted it as an untitled Walter Gibbons edit. Francois came onto (i think 🤔) a DJ History forum thread to correct him and tell us that it was his and how it came about after seeing Walter Gibbons playing the original version, extending it (and probably throwing in a ton of other things into the mix). Then recreating it (of sorts) at Sunshine Sound.

What a jam...

Good morning, Vangelis here...i met my son Chris ‘Soft Rocks’ for breakfast this morning. Over a bowl of greek yoghurt, fresh figs and even fresher coffee he told me he is on the radio again at 12pm.

You can listen in here

https://isolationstation.site/

I quite like his shows as it reminds me of my younger days in production, going right through to the Chariots Of Fire years (when i lost the plot...)

Anyway, tune in!

Best wishes

This year - as already reported - @chris_soft_rocks found a box with some tapes in.

This one was given to him by Andrew Weatherall after a dj road trip to Liverpool in 1998/99??? after they listened to it in the car going up there.

During that period of the 90’s and early 2000’s, Andrew and Chris became mildly obsessed by the kind of music inside it. So...If you like the weird & wonderful, psyched out funk/exotica side of things you can grab a listen of it /download it via the Flightpath Estate group on Facebook or the ‘Weatherdrive’ now.

Fond memories restored.
