Each hat begins as hand woven palm, creating natural variation in tone and texture so no two are exactly the same.

Mexican palm and trapilla are hand braided to deliver structure where it’s needed and airflow where it matters.

Each style is made in considered toast tones, from a sun-washed light palm through to a deeper extra dark toast - designed to sit naturally within the broader Akubra range.

Working closely with our manufacturing partners, we developed the foam density, material composition and surface texture that shape how the footstool performs in everyday use.

Elasticity, weight and durability were balanced to support the body through long feeding sessions, while keeping the form calm and considered in the home.

Colour was an important part of making the Formi Footstool feel at home – not clinical, not temporary, and not limited to the nursery.

We developed Formi’s colour, material and finish strategy to feel grounded in the Australian landscape, drawing from tones present in contemporary interiors. Eucalyptus, Red Earth, Sandstone, Silver Gum and Copper were chosen for their warmth and restraint, allowing the footstool to sit comfortably alongside the rest of the home.

The palette helps the product feel familiar, calm and easy to live with – from day one and beyond.

Built around the iconic form of the memobottle, this tote is all about slim, intentional carry. We started with the core idea: create a clean, compact bag that holds each memobottle size just right.

From there, every decision followed: internal organisation that feels intuitive, materials that balance structure with ease, and a silhouette that’s polished without feeling precious. It’s a simple bag, done with care - streamlined, functional, and built to move through the day as effortlessly as the bottle it was made for. by @softservestudio
