can’t believe i can finally announce this - ‘All We’ve Known of Heaven,’ my brand new album, comes out SEPTEMBER 4TH!!! preorder starts today !! this album is the most vulnerable i’ve ever been and the closest i’ve ever gotten to capturing the things about music that move my heart. it’s a culmination of my life and hopes and dreams and fears and mistakes and victories. i could not be more proud and i can’t wait for you to hear it. the final single from the album ‘Another Summer’ is out everywhere today, too. i hope you enjoy 🩵🌐 PREORDER THE ALBUM!! link in bio by @softvein_
my new album ‘All We’ve Known of Heaven’ is finally here. this is my proudest accomplishment as a musician and songwriter. this is a new door opening as many close behind me. i wrote the lyrics first. i wrote them from the window seat of countless planes crying my eyes out. i wrote them on trains across europe. i wrote them at sunrise on a ferry from helsinki to stockholm. i wrote them the day my nana died. i wrote them all over the world in moments of great excitement and joy and homesickness and hopelessness. they’re about me and the people i love and the world and my hopes and fears for the future as a human being. i found my voice in every sense. i proved a lot of things to myself. i wanted to write real songs, i wanted to be vulnerable, i wanted to sing and find my voice and express myself with it. i accomplished everything i set out to do with this album. thank you to @masbucci for giving me permission to make an album like this, for long drives on tour swapping songs, for your insight and support and talent and care. glad i found you in this life thank you to @jasoncorbett_ for talking me off every ledge, for elevating this record with your skills and making me feel at home at @jacknifesound, and for being a great friend and mentor to my friend @kendall.wooding for lending your beautiful voice, to @rachelmazerlioness for bringing your dreamy saxophone to this record to my friends and family who were the inspiration and support behind every bit of this record and to all of you for listening. i hope you listen again and again and find something for you in this record, because it’s there 🩵 📸: @kinderchid — all songs written + performed by @softvein_ produced by @softvein_ + @masbucci mixed by @softvein_ mastered by @jasoncorbett_ recorded at @seahorsesound + @jacknifesound additional synths: @masbucci additional vocals: @kendall.wooding / @jasoncorbett_ saxophone: @rachelmazerlioness artwork by @softvein_ by @softvein_

Soft Vein released one of my favorite albums of this year. The saxophone filled, synth driven and existential, "All We've Known of Heaven" is like a marriage between the melodies of 'The Blue Nile' and the voice of 'David Byrne' set to lyrics that capture that void between modern anxiety and existential dread.
