More than a shooting competition. 🏔️🎯The Heart Mountain Challenge brought together 200+ competitors—including active-duty and retired Special Operations Personnel, FBI, Secret Service, and civilians—for a long-range precision rifle match benefiting SOWF.

Events like this help us keep our Enduring Promise: providing cradle-to-career educational funding and advocacy to the children of fallen or widowed Special Operations Personnel and Medal of Honor Recipients.

Please join us in welcoming Major (Ret.) Dave McAleer as a Special Operations Warrior Foundation Ambassador! His previous civilian leadership roles include Vice President at Quiet Professionals, Director of Client Relationships for The BRIEF Lab, and Special Operations Recruiter with MAG Aerospace.

Dave retired from the U.S. Army as a Major following a distinguished 24-year career spanning conventional Army, recruiting, and Special Operations assignments. His final military assignment was as the J1 Executive Officer at Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). During his career, he served in several key leadership positions, including Director of Recruiting at JSOC and Director of Recruiting for a U.S. Army Special Mission Unit.

A special thanks to @jillwagner.
For anyone who doesn’t know yet, she is currently playing the role of CIA operative Bobby on the Taylor Sheridan hit spy thriller series Lioness, and also shares the title of Executive Producer. If you haven’t enjoyed this exciting series, you should start with Season 1 (now in Season 3) available on Paramount+.

Jill, pictured here with my partner, @rick030295 (Rick Franco) on the left, and her husband, David Lemanowicz (former minor league ice hockey player and U.S. Army Reserve Officer) as she signs a bottle of our rare @fourbranchesbourbon Black Ops special edition (sorry - sold out). This bottle was later auctioned off at the @sofwarriorfnd (Special Operations Warrior Foundation) event and raised $5,850 for the foundation.

It is these types of collaborations and moments of patriotism with individuals like Jill and her husband lending their names and talent to special causes that help us all to continue to support our veterans and their families.

Thank you, Jill. 🎥🥃🇺🇸 by @sofwarriorfnd

Happy 251st Birthday to the United States Navy! ⚓ On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the first ships of what would become the world's finest naval force.

From the Navy SEALs to Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare operators take on some of our nation's most demanding missions at sea and ashore. Special Operations Warrior Foundation is proud to keep our promise to the children of fallen Naval Special Warfare personnel, and to stand beside those who have been wounded.

Thank you to every Sailor, past and present, for your service.

🎓 Where Is He Now? Checking in with SOWF graduate, Kollin Upton!

Kollin graduated from Florida Institute of Technology and now lives and works right here in the Tampa Bay area. Kollin's SOWF advocate, Lisa B, recently caught up with Kollin and his wife, Sarah, over lunch - it's always a joy to see our alumni thriving!

Kollin is the surviving son of Staff Sergeant Kurt Upton, who lost his life in 1999 while serving with the 27th SOW. Today, we honor his legacy and celebrate Kollin's success. 🌟

Looking back on a phenomenal summer, we're reminded of all the special memories our SOWF families shared. Here's one from July 28th, when the Klosinski family cheered on the Tampa Bay Rays against the Texas Rangers! ⚾

Abigail is the surviving spouse and Mateo and Sam Klosinski are the surviving sons of Army Colonel Vance Klosinski, who lost his life in 2022 while serving with the United States Special Operations Command. We are honored to support this family in his memory. 🧡
