POSTS STORIES REELS

I want to share a little about my experience taking the Poster course at @typomaniaschool 💔. This wasn’t my first time at the school, and I have to say, I absolutely adore this place! In fact, I have a very serious plan to take almost every course they offer))) Every time, it’s both an opportunity to grow and a place to recharge. Basically, it’s therapy for both my design skills and my designer soul.

And the Poster course is something else entirely, starting with the incredible lineup of teachers! @v_a_s_i_n, @peter_bankov, @guronpics—my absolute design crushes))) I’m a huge fan of everything they do. And @sergeserov is a true legend, a master, a guardian of an unbelievable wealth of knowledge, and an absolutely wonderful person. Honestly, I have no words. My happiness knows no bounds!

Today, I want to tell you about our first class with @v_a_s_i_n.

We were asked to bring an image of an object and a letter, both tightly fitted into the page. And then the fun began! We exchanged our images and letters with each other and started creating new compositions, cropping them vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. We could even distort the elements, but only along the specified directions. After each round, we swapped our results again and continued composing and cropping. Four rounds in total! The final step was to add a thin line of text.

It was incredibly fun! I repeated the exercise on my own at home, and honestly, it was just as exciting. I also made some mockups to see how these compositions might work in real-life environments.

I really love @v_a_s_i_n’s approach. It’s always inspiring and helps you discover simple yet striking solutions. And most importantly, it reminds you how much joy there is in both the creative process and the final result. @v_a_s_i_n, you’re amazing!

And a special thank you to 🌷@naia_da for giving me that little push to sign up when I was worried I wouldn’t have enough time to keep up with everything!

More to come)))

Love the process behind these posters by @sofya.frash using crafted typography ✨

Love Returns
I dedicate this poster to people who have lost someone they deeply loved. Some losses never fully disappear, yet love often remains. This work reflects on vulnerability, memory, and the courage to keep room in our hearts for love despite loss.

Nature of Choice
Nature does not choose how it is treated—protected or destroyed. The way we relate to it reflects our values. Kindness toward the planet is not automatic. It is a conscious choice that shapes our future.

For almost six months, we’ve had this wonderful book sitting on our shelf—Visual Voices for Change: Global Typographic Posters to Fight for Kindness, published by @typecampus & @zetafonts. It is a beautiful collection of typographic posters from around the world, all speaking about kindness, humanity, and the power of design to address things that truly matter. And we are incredibly happy that the works of our @graphic_nomads designers became part of it.

One of the true stars of our collective last year was Igor Kulik @igarrk with his poster HELP EVEN IF IT HURTS. This wonderful work has traveled to numerous international exhibitions and received awards around the world. Igor, congratulations! We are so proud of you and everything this poster has achieved.

The book also features three posters by Sofia Kriklii @sofya.frash —LOVE NEVER HITS, UNIQUE BEAUTIFUL YOU, and KINDNESS IS LOVING WITHOUT A REASON. These works have also been shown at numerous international exhibitions and have become part of this incredible journey around the world.

We are especially happy to see a poster by Violetta Dontcova @off.grid.vio in the book. It was one of Violetta’s very first posters—one of her first experiences in poster design. Today, Violetta is the winner of numerous international design awards, and her posters can be seen at exhibitions and competitions around the world, from Poster Stellars to the Golden Bee. It is so wonderful to watch you grow, develop, and find your own voice as a designer. Violetta, we are proud of you!

A huge thank you to @zetafonts and @typecampus for this opportunity and for creating Visual Voices for Change. You are doing something truly wonderful and meaningful, and we can only imagine how much work goes into a project like this. We are incredibly grateful and very happy to be a small part of such a beautiful initiative. ❤️ by @sofya.frash

It is a great honor for me to join the International Jury of SIPSM26, whose central theme this year is SDG 16: ”Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions."

Thank you to the organizers for your trust. It is a great honor to be part of a project that brings together designers and artists from around the world and recognizes the poster as a powerful tool for dialogue and social change.

I would also like to invite designers, artists, students, and everyone who has something to say to participate in this year’s competition. I believe it is incredibly important to support initiatives like this. They create spaces where ideas can freely cross cultural boundaries, where difficult but necessary conversations can begin, and where visual communication becomes a bridge between people with different experiences and cultural backgrounds.

For many people, especially those living in regions where human rights are regularly violated and freedom of expression is not always a guaranteed right, international poster competitions can become one of the few opportunities to be seen and heard beyond geographical and political borders. And although design alone cannot change the world, it can draw attention to important issues, create opportunities for dialogue, preserve memory, and remind us that every meaningful change begins with a person.

A poster is much more than a composition. It is a voice. It is an opportunity to express your point of view, tell your story, ask difficult questions, or offer hope. That is why I believe it is so important to support initiatives like this and take part in them. I am truly looking forward, with great excitement and curiosity, to discovering the ideas, stories, and voices that participants from around the world will express through their work.

Once again, thank you to the organizers for your trust, this great honor, and the responsibility that comes with it.

“Love Returns Where There’s Still Room For It” reflects on loss and the enduring presence of love beyond physical absence. It explores the fragile space between absence and return, suggesting that even when someone is gone, love remains. It lives on in memory and returns wherever there is still room to receive it. by @sofya.frash

This poster is a reflection on the scale of time and the fragility of everything we tend to believe is permanent.

I created it specifically for the Poster Stellars competition. It didn’t receive an award, but honestly, I don’t love it any less because of that. I love my work regardless of the outcome. Every poster I make becomes a part of my life, a part of my thoughts and experiences.

Lately, I’ve been thinking more and more about how humanity tends to overestimate its own importance. Yet, in the scale of the universe, its time, and eternity, we are only a fleeting moment. Everything we love, everything we create, entire civilizations—and even Earth itself—will one day disappear, becoming nothing more than interstellar dust. Unless, of course, humanity finds a way to leave this planet and continue its existence somewhere else. But at least for now, that still feels more like science fiction than a realistic future.

In this poster, each planet is labeled with the approximate time it has left before the end of the Sun’s life cycle. Earth is the exception: in about one billion years, the Sun will become too bright to support life on our planet, long before it reaches the end of its own evolution.

We are used to measuring time through human lives, history, or the rise and fall of civilizations. But on the scale of the universe, even planets have an expiration date.

Today, this poster has taken on another meaning for me.

Today we lost Kavinsky—the French musician and composer whose work gave an unforgettable atmosphere to so many films. For many, he will forever be remembered as the creator of Nightcall, the iconic track from Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.

May this poster remain here not only as a reminder of how fragile everything is, but also in memory of a remarkable musician whose work will outlive any human lifetime.

RIP, Kavinsky. by @sofya.frash

This is probably the only theatre poster I’ve ever designed for an actual stage production.

This project happened thanks to my husband. He unexpectedly fell in love with theatre, and for the first time I had the chance to design a poster for a real performance.

Thank you for your unexpected passion, for inspiring me, and for patiently posing while I searched for just the right silhouette. ❤️ by @sofya.frash
