Humbled, moved by this Koru, trying to trust its unfolding pace. Aotearoa chose me, not the other way around. This much I know. It is forever guiding me, protecting me. Awakening me. To land back and be gifted a Pounamu, after so many years of devotion to this home, to this journey… a Pounamu that was blessed around a beach fire by my friends while the super moon rose and the bioluminescence made the waves glow in the dark, is something that will stay with me til the end. To wear this land on my heart is a responsibility towards the self.
