One of the most fascinating places I've ever visited is the Louvre Museum, Paris. The magnificence of the place is bound to leave you astonished!

More than 35,000 works are on display at any given time. The displays are divided into eight departments: Near Eastern Antiquities; Egyptian Antiquities; Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities; Islamic Art; Sculptures; Decorative Arts; Paintings; including the Mona Lisa by the great, Leonardo da Vinci.

To embrace the aura of the place fully, you'd probably need a month. However, you can not afford to miss this place even on a week long France trip.

The sunset at the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, is a sight to behold. The massive stretch of salt land spreads itself across 10,000 square miles.
More than 30% of India's salt is attained from the Rann. Witnessing the dazzling reflections of the sunlight at dusk is a surreal experience. Whichever direction you gaze at, you'll see unending white, shiny land.

On this very, very special achievement when @chelseafc have lifted the @championsleague trophy for the 2nd time in history, it gave me a major throwback to my visit to Stamford Bridge during my UK trip. It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life, much the same as watching last night's intense game of football was. If you're a football fan, I'd definitely recommend you to go for stadium tours. They're really awesome experiences which enhance your bond with this beautiful game.

A throwback to one of the best day-long treks I've been on and my only one with these two, @rahuld97 and @valor_morghulis_bose so far. The first of many ahead I'm sure. A short drive from Gangtok, the Fambonglho Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the Tinchuley hill. Not many are aware that going for a day-long trek there is one of the best things to do during your stay in Gangtok.

Even though it isn't one of the toughest treks, the greenery around in the lower stratas of the climb, the thrill of going up through a barely charted path, topped off with the puddles of snow in the latter stages of the trek, ticks off all the boxes for a fascinating adventure.

We got ourselves some local Tongba (millet wine) after our escapade. This fine drink here was served hot and tasted quite different from the types of wine we generally have.

The most amusing thing which I came across in Dijon during my stay were the Owl Trails.🦉

There are little owls etched on metal plates attached to the road, where one plate leads onto another. This 22-stage trail is designed not only to give you a taste of Dijon's charm, but also to take you back in time and show you the history of our town. Each numbered stage takes in a place of interest, and the whole trail can be covered on foot in about one hour. If you feel like finding out more about Dijon, this trail proposes 3 different loops: the Rousseau loop, the Zola loop and the Moses loop.

If you visit Dijon, taking a walk along the Owl Trails is an absolute must!

I discovered my love for Calzones in a commune called Cognac in France. Although it originated in Naples in the 18th century, I found my meat-filled Calzone here no less tasty than any other in the world. Didn't expect to get myself this beauty at a roadside cafe but it definitely is till date one of the best dishes I've had. If you've had a Calzone you'll be able to relate, and if you haven't, just get yourself one as soon as you can.

After spending an evening at the Place de la Bourse in Bordeaux, I can assure you it is right up there among the most scintillating places on Earth. The plethora of blue shades across the sky accentuated the magnificence of this historic monument. The Miroir d'eau or Water Mirror in front of the palace is the world's largest reflecting pool. What fascinated me the most was the fact that the pool is made of granite slabs covered by 2 cms of water, and a system allows it to create mist every 15 minutes. Whenever you visit Bordeaux, you can spend hours gazing at the elegance this place has to offer.

One of the very best wine tours in France here. @chateaujeanfaure was an amazing experience right from seeing the vineyards to the wine tasting. Our guide was fascinating and we took our own sweet time as she answered all our questions and explained each stage of wine production in depth. We were the first Indians to visit this chateau, but were absolutely made to feel at home. Anyone looking for a wine tour in France, @chateaujeanfaure at Saint Emilion is the place to go to. Highly recommended!
