Hi, I'm Jordan — a New Orleans wedding designer and stylist, and founder of Soigné Styling (swan·yay). I practice creative direction for weddings, hospitality and brands. From New Orleans, and increasingly beyond it. I fell for this city's particular beauty long ago: candlelight on brick, the hush of a courtyard before a party, something old still very much alive in a room. Soigné exists to give every celebration that same sense of place. My work takes four shapes: 🥂 The Wedding Prep Ritual — the getting-ready morning, designed. Clutter gone, surfaces chosen, small ceremonial moments composed, sometimes a live sketch artist or a quiet facial folded in. A calmer morning, and a room that photographs the way the rest of the day will. I travel for this one. 💍 Wedding Design — the full visual world of a celebration: tablescapes, florals, textiles, light. Design and creative direction, alongside your planner or coordinator. This I take in New Orleans ⛲️ Hospitality & Venue Experience — for boutique hotels and historic properties with the same devotion to detail. The guest journey, seen with an editorial eye, then styled and told properly. This travels too. 🥃 Brand & Editorial Styling — for photographers, hotels, designers and makers who want their imagery to hold together as one world. Concept, sourcing, on-set styling. Wherever the shoot is. A few true things: I papered my childhood walls with pages from Harper's Bazaar. I collect vintage New Orleans matchbooks — Soigné grew out of Social Graces Vintage. I'll travel anywhere for a boutique hotel with a point of view. And the design house is overseen by Darcy, my Cavalier, and Autumn, my rescue cat. Soigné means carefully and elegantly done. Restraint over spectacle, heirlooms over trends, and always in partnership with the planners, vendors and venues around me. Scene VIII: The Sacred Tableau ✨ “Where atelier artistry meets sacred tradition.” The veil caught the candlelight. The florals spilled over linen the color of dawn. And the table — set inside the church at Hotel Peter & Paul, framed by stained glass and stone columns — held everything that came before it. This is what it looks like when a ceremony space becomes a tableau. Not decorated. Composed. Old-world reverence, reimagined as modern artistry. Scene IX — The Florals as Architecture 🌿 Garden roses, ranunculus, tulips, and sweet peas spilled across tablescapes, climbed the fireplace mantel, gathered on side tables and bar trays, and were carried as bouquets — coral dahlias, blue delphinium, feathery astilbe, bells of Ireland, zinnias, cosmos, lisianthus, hydrangea and trailing amaranthus among them, threaded with smilax and gilded leaves that caught the light like metal. From the quiet of the getting-ready room to the grandeur of the church, the flowers were never decoration. They climbed like sculpture and gathered like still lifes — and in dialogue with the stained glass and vaulted walls, they became the architecture itself. Living, breathing extensions of the space. Nothing placed to fill. Everything placed to answer the room. A note of endless gratitude to @crybabyfloral — who didn't arrange flowers so much as build architecture from them. Every stem, every cascade, every climbing tendril was theirs. We guide getting-ready attire, and design the gifting moments down to how they're presented. We bring in hand-picked experiential details — a perfume bar, vintage barware, a cigar ritual — chosen for the couple, not pulled from a list. And the logistics that usually turn frantic — where everyone goes, when, what's on the table to eat — are settled long before the day. At The Celestine, that meant two suites: a Champagne Suite for the bride, a Whiskey Lounge for the groom. What you're buying isn't decor.
