queery is dead!!!! but the harm response system i made is alive!!!!!! it’s now a year ago when, shocked by the frequent ban culture at the queery, i started developing a new harm response system for them while being mentored by @timetospringup stas, mara, gayatri and shaïna. being prepared for when harm manifests not *if* harm manifests and doing less but better and the infinite wisdom of ✨de-escalation✨ — completing this piece made me feel so in love and on purpose!! i hope this can be a resource for community groups and organisations that need it. i can also be a resource, invite me to your groups, we can learn and think/‘~sense together!! also the system is cool in theory but it only comes alive and finds its true form through trials and revisions. so if you end up adopting parts of this for your group and practice it, id love to hear from you ❤️❤️❤️so much interpersonal harm happens all the time, and so often people look up to institutions and community spaces like the queery to be arbitrators of justice!! while there are likely no skills or resources to take on such a task. fr it’s so hard but it doesn’t need to belike if you think @yenehaal’s prehistoric phone camera is a mood that needs to be brought back by @soil_gushing

“hi, i’m carmen and i really enjoyed the slap and i do not consent to any of this” this was the QXSBC performative birthday where we found many new ways of reading (naked, upside down, hormonally injected, hair pulled, mouth full of water, over knee, DMing etc.) — it’s the more and more and more of book club technology. also the queery is now closed forever!!
