What started as a small collection of handmade products created for models and clients on set has grown into a space we can finally call home. Opening a physical store is both exciting and daunting, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our customers, friends, family, stockists, and community.

Seeing so many familiar faces walk through the doors, share a @goodgutwaterkefir , discover our products, and celebrate this moment with us meant more than we can say.

We are overjoyed to be part of the Watershed and excited for this next chapter of Sōji. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers into our beautiful new space.

A little behind the scenes with the incredible Minki van der Westhuizen.

There’s something I love about those completely unscripted moments on set…

“Oeh, dit ruik lekker.” 🤍

That was Minki’s first reaction to our Sōji Body Butter as I applied it to her skin. Rich and nourishing, with subtle light-reflecting particles that help soften the appearance of redness and give the skin that beautiful, luminous, more youthful-looking finish.

And her verdict once she saw it?

“Oh wow… amazing.”

For the finishing touch, I used IRO Multi-Stick in Burnt Honey on her lips to create that gorgeous warm, softly defined 90s lip. And honestly, she looks incredible.

A little behind the scenes with the incredible Teresa de Klerk.

From Wonderbra to Sports Illustrated and countless shoots in between, Teresa is one of those women who is every bit as remarkable in person as she is in front of the camera.

For this look, I reached for two Sōji favourites: our Barely There Multi-Stick for that soft, effortless wash of colour, finished with our Setting Spray to bring everything together.

There’s something very special about seeing products I created become part of my own makeup kit, especially on a face as iconic as this one.

Squalane is lightweight, silky and beautifully compatible with the skin, helping to soften, condition and support the natural moisture barrier without leaving your face feeling heavy or greasy.

It’s the kind of product I love both as a formulator and as a makeup artist: simple enough for everyday use, but transformative in the way skin feels and looks when it’s properly conditioned.

Use a few drops on clean skin, or layer it underneath your Conditioning Cream when your skin is asking for a little more.

After more than 25 years of working with skin as a makeup artist, one thing has become very clear to me: beautiful makeup starts with well-conditioned skin.

Not necessarily perfect skin. Not ten layers of skincare. Just skin that is properly hydrated, comfortable and supported.

That thinking is behind our Sōji Conditioning Cream.

Glycerin helps draw moisture into the skin, while nourishing oils and emollients help soften and support the skin barrier, so that moisture isn’t simply disappearing again.
