Each year I step into this, I walk away with something new. Growth, perspective, strength. And this year is no different.

There is a certain kind of honor in choosing to keep going NO MATTER WHAT. Not everyone has that. Not everyone understands what it takes to show up fully, to believe deeply, and to stand tall regardless of the outcome.

Sometimes God has a plan so much bigger than what we can see in the moment. Sometimes things don’t unfold the way we hoped because they’re aligning the way they’re meant to. And sometimes, we have to accept that every space isn’t designed to hold us, but that doesn’t take away from who we are or what we carry.

I know my worth. I know my heart. And I know that everything this campaign stood for does not start or stop with a title. It lives in me. It moves through me. And it will continue, regardless.

Thank you to everyone who poured into me, supported me, and believed in The Redemption Experience T.O.U.R. This is not the end, just a continuation.

Senior year, let’s make it one to remember 🤍

…to my best friend, DSU Class of ’27 🕊️

this light will never be dimmed. I promise you that.

I will do everything in my ability to make sure no one ever has to feel how you did. If they ever cross paths with me, whether it’s at this university or beyond it, they will feel something different. I walk in a purpose that carries you, that reflects the impact you had and will always have.

and even if some people don’t understand me, even if they think I’m doing too much or dreaming too big… I don’t care. call it whatever you want. I will keep going anyway.
because this is bigger than me now.
I will continue to walk in that path no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT. by @solaeinaction

Election Day. This is it.

I’m Solae White-Rodgers, a Mass Communication major (PR & Ad) from Philadelphia, PA, ambitiously vying to humbly serve as your 70th Miss Delaware State University.

The Redemption Experience T.O.U.R. is more than a campaign. It is a movement rooted in growth, visibility, opportunity, and service.

✨T | Turning Views Into Visibility
✨O | Opportunities for Students
✨U | Understanding the Students
✨R | Responsibility to Serve

This campaign is about making
sure every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to step into their greatness.

Today, your vote has power. Your voice matters. Be part of something bigger.

Join the movement.

This speech came from a place of truth and responsibility.

Honoring Black history means carrying it with us, speaking on it, and making space for it every day.

Grateful for the moment, and even more grateful for the message. 🤍👑

Last year set the tone… and today we made it a tradition. 🖤✨

From our first Black Dress Ball to our second annual celebration, the elegance, the energy, and the impact just keep growing.

A special thank you to our incredible committee, our student leaders, and the visionaries behind it all @ariiannaamariee and @solae.wr for bringing this experience to life. And a huge shoutout to Girls Gurl for continuing to build community, connection, and legacy through it all.

Cheers to year two… and everything ahead. #blackdressball #yeartwo #legacyinthemaking by @solaeinaction
