🐓A little farm with big dreams

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Welcome to Sola Fide Farms!

What started as a dream for a slower, simpler life has grown into a little farm full of fresh air, muddy boots, animals we adore, gardens we’re learning from, and a whole lot of joy in the everyday moments.

Here you’ll find a little bit of everything:
🥚 Fresh eggs
🌿 Garden life
🐐 Farm animals
🐶 LGD life
🌱 Growing, learning, and building this life one season at a time

And we’re just getting started…

Upcoming additions include:
🍯 Bees for fresh honey
🍎 A beautiful orchard we can’t wait to watch grow

We’re so excited to share this journey — the beauty, the chaos, and all the small moments in between. Thanks for being here from the beginning.

It’s been a slow harvest so far this year!

Tripling the garden, meant planting late. Hoping all the green tomatoes go red and all the flowered vines turn to beautiful bounties 🌱 taken in Douglass, Kansas by @solafidefarmsks

Had some super active starter so we had to get in some baking 😍

🥖 2 loaves of Jalapeño Cheddar
🥖 2 regular loaves
🥖 2 pans of cinnamon rolls.

Don’t mind while we carb load over here 👏🏼 taken in Douglass, Kansas by @solafidefarmsks

The garden is finally doing its thing… and so are the weeds 🙄

Today’s garden friends include this adorable little tree frog, who I’ve affectionately named Theodore.

We also have hundreds of tiny baby frogs hopping through the mulch, which we’re more than happy to welcome. They have plenty of work to do because they’re sharing the garden with what feels like just as many pesky mosquitoes! taken in Douglass, Kansas by @solafidefarmsks

The girls got an upgrade!

We moved the garden into the former chicken run, so they got a fancy new home. To our flock of 12, we added 11 different hen varieties and hatched 14 chicks and 2 ducks. Now let’s hope there’s no Roo’s in the hatched bunch.
