POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What if you could step into the future and receive guidance from a version of you who is thriving, fulfilled, and contributing to the more beautiful world we all know is possible?✨

This month at the Solarpunkification Art Exhibition in San Francisco, Day Sanchez, steward of @solarpunkgeneration , led a group of future builders, artists, visionaries, designers, technologists, & systems thinkers through a Future Memory Collective Art Experience—bringing them into a future where they are aligned with their purpose, contributing their gifts to the world, & deeply connected to their Ikigai.

Through special guided meditation, participants received insights from their future selves, bringing back wisdom to shape their present paths. Then, we translated those visions into art, merging them onto a shared canvas—a collective map of possibility🎨✨

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Future Memory experience, & deep gratitude to CrowdDoing, Bobby Fishkin, & the Solar Punkification team for making this gathering possible. So many powerful seeds were planted this month thanks to Bobby!🌱

We already see incredible manifestations emerging from this convergence of visionary humans who are already building a brighter future today!

The Bay Area is such an incredible vortex of creativity, innovation,& activism, and it’s been amazing to connect with so many brilliant beings doing meaningful work for our planet. So much magic unfolding in the months and years to come!

If you resonate with the work of Solarpunk Generation & feel the call to contribute your energy in any way, there are many roles to step into and inspired actions to take as we work to co-dream, co-build, and co-create a solarpunk future🌻

If you are curious about how to bring your unique gifts into the larger web of solutions, reach out and get involved!

Calling All Grand Mothers

We have to live
differently
or we
will die
in the same
old ways.

Therefore
I call on all Grand Mothers
everywhere
on the planet
to rise
and take your place
in the leadership
of the world💫

Come out
of the kitchen
out of the
fields
out of the
beauty parlors
out of the
television🌈

Step forward
& assume
the role
for which
you were
created:
To lead humanity
to health, happiness
& sanity.

I call on
all the
Grand Mothers
of Earth
& every person
who possesses
the Grand Mother
spirit
of respect for
life
&
protection of
the young
to rise
& lead✨

The life of
our species
depends
on it🌎

& I call on all men
of Earth
to gracefully
and
gratefully
stand aside
& let them
(let us)
do so🌱

From the book Hard Times Require Furious Dancing.

The Dream Team reassembles!💫

@solarpunkgeneration has teamed up with a beautiful group of brilliant, creative, and playful humans to co-dream and co-design a series of interactive experiences to ignite imagination at the European Congress of Qualitative Inquiry (ECQI 2025) in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The theme for the 8th ECQI is Hope, Humility, and Playfulness in a Precarious World. The name of our series is “Re-Imagining Schools: A Journey of Playfulness and Hope”

We approach our work with emphasis on incorporating imaginative and Indigenous ways of knowing and being in the world. We focus on four questions:

✨What should the purposes of education be? Who decides? Who benefits?

✨In a world of shifting populations and climate change, what are the necessary resources and tools that educators and youth must consider to meet the needs of our collective uncertain future?

✨How can creativity and imaginative modes of qualitative research empower research-advocates across the globe to manifest a system for education?

✨How can immersive arts and modern technologies help youth imagine new ways of learning and developing their agency into the world?

Each session over the three days is grounded in an inter-generational, arts-informed critical examination of education that should be central to serving the whole—individuals, their communities and collective identities, and the more-than-human life that sustains us all.

As part of this series, Day Sanchez will guide participants through a Future Memory meditation and immersive experience, a reflective and imaginative practice that invites participants to step into a vivid vision of the future and into a space of infinite possibility✨🪄

Let’s co-create dreamy futures full of magic and playfulness, grounded in active hope and collective transformation!🌎💫

Have you ever listened to the whispers of the trees? 🌬️🌲✨This Friday at the @gatheringoftribes24, Day from #solarpunkgeneration will guide a Future Memory Collective Art Experience in collaboration with @eternalforestglobal

Through guided meditation, collaborative art, and some special magic, Day will guide participants to amplify the voices of trees and become clear vessels for expressing the messages these elders wish to communicate, receiving insights on the specific steps needed to bring the visions of the forests to life.

And on Thursday, Day will facilitate a Voices From the Forest activity with the children at the gathering🧚✨

We hope you can join us!

Their branches reaching for the future, their roots grounding us in the present. We can learn from their resilience, standing tall in the face of challenges and nurturing the seeds of hope🌱

By connecting with trees, we reconnect with the rhythms of nature, finding peace, strength, and the wisdom to restore balance in our world🌿💚

Excited to share about #solarpunkgeneration at the Learning Planet Festival @lpiparis and AIME’s IMAGI-NATION (TV) special along with other incredible pioneers in education and ecological imagination✨🌱🌎

What is the work that needs to be done for students to step outside of the boxes and seize and work with their full imaginative capacity?

This panel of educators, artists and activists will spotlight projects on re-imagining schools that have the potential to answer these and other question.

Collaborative design of dream schools by elementary school students and university art & design students. Immersive learning adventures anchored in climate education for primary school students. Combining arts, storytelling, intergenerational engagement and holistic experiential learning for collective intelligence, innovation and regeneration. A giant, nature-based, living, breathing classroom to inspire curiosity and connection to nature. Liminal spaces of play and flow to drive curiosity and mastery. Creating imagination classrooms.

Projects from around the world, all focused on re-imagining education for a more equitable and sustainable future. As presented at the European Congress of Qualitative Inquiry in Helsinki, January 2024.

This Dream Team will also be sharing about a new art campaign replicating the #solarpunk call for art, this time focused on re-imagining schools. More on that soon!

Cont from previous post

"They represent a kind future, filled with magic & health. They are the representation of the small hope of a brighter tomorrow, that must be maintained through the delicate harmony with nature. They are the symbol of the small actions we take every day to ensure a better world around us. One that is filled with diligence, care, & respect for nature.

Standing next to the old man is REVR-E (Roving Environmental Visibility/Researcher, gen Epsilon), an android tasked with overseeing the operation of the wisps, & managing larger-scale research & human interfacing. Androids like REVR-E, while neither male, female, or even human, are a representation of the new hope for humanity in the form of technology designed for the benefit of all. In such a future, there is no divide between humans on the basis of gender, race, sex, religion, etc. Humanity is not just blindly viewed as equals. Instead, humanity is valued for its equity & diversity. Everyone brings a unique perspective & skill to the table. Here we see the results of the new society. This robot, who is a child of the collective intellect & treasures of humanity, is taking the torch from the old man, to help ensure a better future for his children, & so they can afford peace & rest.

Through cooperation & hard work, these characters contribute to a life-affirming society. In this future, everyone cares in different capacities. No role is too small or insignificant. Everyone is taking care of everyone, & we see the peaceful benefit from this compassion. By caring for the world around them, they are, in turn, caring for themselves. They work with nature, not against it, & help ensure that the generations after them will be able to see, habitate, & appreciate the Earth around them.

In all, this piece demonstrates the greatest hope of humanity. The earth is healing, humanity is able to reach their highest potential through embracing their inherent, though sometimes dormant kindness, & the children of humanity, biological or otherwise, continue to carry on the message of hope & compassion."
