We get that question a lot! So here's a quick video showing exactly how that works. Dry and comfortable spaces are one of the biggest reasons our clients decide to purchase our Solar Shield Blinds Exterior Patio Shades!

If you are ready to elevate your outdoor living experience to a whole new level, send us a message! We offer free consultations and we cover the entire Kansas City metro!

25mph Winds? No problem! You can keep your patio safe and protected from harsh wind. No need to bring in the cushions when you can turn off the wind and weather!

Watch the ceiling fan while you're at it! It was never turned on during the making of this video. That's what the wind would be doing if there were no shades. Has the wind ever damaged anything on your patio or deck before? This is THE solution for creating elevated comfort and true outdoor living.

Our second annual Elevate by Solar Shield Evening of Impact had a fun 1920s speakeasy theme, and you had to know the password to get past the bouncer. We brought our Elevate by Solar Shield design partners and new designers together at @jriegerco. for a night of hors d'oeuvres, perfume mixing, and a chance to enjoy a night out together!

Our Evening of Impact is more than just mingling and drinks. This year, we partnered with @bracouturekc, a non-profit that supports local cancer patients.

Brenda, a member of Bra Couture, shared how the organization has raised more than $7 million over the past 16 years. Every penny stays right here in Kansas City, helping patients access wigs, nutritional supplements, transportation to treatment, and other support during their battle with cancer.

We're SO grateful for our design partners and the relationships we've built over the years. It was the perfect mix of a little Roaring '20s fun, meaningful connections, and being able to give back to our community. by @solarshieldblinds

Last night, Solar Shield Blinds hosted our Second Annual Evening of Impact, and we’re grateful for everyone who came out to be part of such a meaningful evening!

This year, we partnered with Bra Couture to donate nutritional supplements and wigs to cancer patients. We’re proud to support an organization making a difference in the lives of those facing cancer and thankful to everyone who helped make the evening a success. 💗 by @solarshieldblinds

What an incredible experience with Solar Shield Blinds!

They brought all of their designers together for a special event created just for them, and we were honored to help make the experience memorable. With such an amazing turnout, each designer had the opportunity to create a custom perfume and walk away with a scent that was uniquely their own.

I also loved that the event gave back to those impacted by cancer. At some point, nearly all of us have been touched by cancer in some way, which made being part of this event even more meaningful.

The venue at J. Rieger & Co. was amazing, the people were even better, and it was great running into old friends along the way.

Thank you to Solar Shield Blinds for inviting Scent Makers to be part of such a thoughtful experience for your designers. We’re grateful for every opportunity to bring people together, create lasting memories, and make the world smell better. ✨#perfumemaking #kansascityevents by @solarshieldblinds

Blind install day 🤝 fire alarm testing day... 😅 by @solarshieldblinds

Bright and early at the new showroom! ☀️ Miller’s Cabinets is here installing the cabinets that will soon hold thousands of fabric options for custom drapery, pillows, and other soft window treatments.

We’re getting closer to bringing this space to life, and we can’t wait for you to see it all come together! by @solarshieldblinds

How good are you at guessing 12 inches?

We had our team give it a try without looking at the tape measure. Some got surprisingly close, while others… not so much. 😂 by @solarshieldblinds

We've been waiting a LONG time for this sign to turn on! And I guess we had to wait a little bit longer. But, as always, we don't give up and we never quit, so here it is! Our very first Kansas City showroom is one step closer to opening! Stay tuned for official opening date announcements to come!

Solar Shield Blinds is at the JOCO Home + Remodel show right now! Our booth is 1003 and we’re excited to see everyone! Plus we have the best chocolate around 😉

If you can’t make it today, we will be here all weekend! by @solarshieldblinds

The room isn’t complete without window treatments. We love the ones in our studio, functionally we have to have them because of how much light we get in the space. But we also took our time finding the right fabrics because the colors and patterns are part of our overall design and how the space comes together.

We love that @solarshieldblinds can take what we’ve designed and bring it to life and really support us in the technical design and functionality of the window coverings.

We recently wrapped up a patio shade installation at Plaza Mariachi! 🙌

With wind and unpredictable weather making it difficult to enjoy the outdoor seating, these shades will help create a more comfortable space for guests to enjoy their meals outside throughout the year.

Another outdoor space made more enjoyable with Solar Shield Blinds!
