I get a new grey hair for each stress 😭. If you want to see ya engineer squirm, do this!!! 😂😫.

But on the real engineers are very patient souls. Even if we gotta deal with the 🤦🏾‍♂️. We should get a trophy for this. 🏆

⚠️ Beware!! Of The disease called “DEMO EAR”. Listening to a bad or unfinished mix for an extended amount of time can cause your brain to think that is the rough mix is the correct “sound” for the record. Even when your record is mixed properly, your mind thinks something is off. Until you realize the truth, that the mix sounded 10x better.

The Solutions:

•Artists, if you really like a song and know it is one with great potential after it’s recorded, get it mixed sooner than later. It will give you a chance to hear the song at its full potential and even may hone in on potential improvements in the performance or production. You want to go through the mixing process to bring the song to life and avoid hearing things over and over the wrong way and getting used to it.

•Engineers that provide solid rough mixes are a big help, but please encourage your clients to get the song mixed properly before they release or start giving the records to Dj’s. This will improve their chances of having a successful record.

•Have you ever experienced Demo Ear???

Vance Vision Labs created a world and a music video for Layrodrick Lee’s single “I Know Somebody”. 🎶🎙️ He took a blast to a JukeJoint past where he pulled up to his own spot to rock & was catching rhythm from a wisdom that took him to another dimension 🧝🏾‍♀️.

Needless to say, yall gotta watch it from the beginning on YouTube. The song was Recorded, Mix & Mastered by @vancevision at @solarsoundstudio Streaming everywhere search: Layrodrick Lee. He has some dope OG soul music.

Vance Vision Labs had the opportunity to shoot & produce the video for @gigidabeast “All Day”. The song is super dope produced by @nbt_ice_mizzle & @vancevision. A great combination of cinematography & ai effects lead to a slamming visual for her single and upcoming project. Everyone stream this and be in the lookout for more from @vancevisionlabs and contact us if you’re interested in services for videos or music production & recording.

Had to replace the tubes of my Avalon 737 in @solarsoundstudio
I cherish the analog gear I do have. This mic pre adds a lot of color to the sound and don’t kill me, I was using the plug in version of the 737 the last couple months 😬. Oh lord it held me down but we back. Take a look 👀 🎚️🎛️🔉🎙️
