romanticizing the work behind it all👩‍💻🌟

There’s something so special about watching an idea slowly turn into reality. All the little decisions, late nights, early mornings, and things I’ve redone 100 times….

Solasia has officially had its little corner of the internet for just over a month now, and I still get excited every time I look at it.

I wanted the website to feel like Solasia, not just somewhere to book an appointment. I wanted it to be a place where you can learn about your tan, find the right service for you, know exactly what to expect, and get a little glimpse into everything I’ve been building behind the scenes.

I also want to give the biggest thank you to @raeganvr for bringing everything I had in my head to life. Building a completely custom website is such a process and I genuinely could not recommend someone more. I’m so grateful for the amount of time & patience put into every detail with me.

And of course, thank you to every single person who has booked with me, shared my work, recommended me to a friend, followed along or supported Solasia in any way. It’s very easy when you’re constantly thinking about what you want to do next to forget to look at what you’ve already created.

Still so much I want to do, but feeling extra grateful for this little milestone. ♡

Save this for your next tan💌

your spray tan is only as good as the prep & aftercare, a few things can make a major difference in how evenly your tan develops, how it fades, and how long your colour lasts.

BEFORE YOUR TAN
12-24 hours before your appointment, exfoliate thoroughly and complete any shaving, waxing, facials, manicures or pedicures. This gives your skin time to settle and creates a smooth, even base for your tan.

Keep your skin hydrated leading up to your appointment, but arrive with clean, dry skin. No moisturizer, makeup, deodorant, perfume or oils unless we’ve discussed otherwise.

Wear dark, loose clothing and avoid anything tight that may rub against your developing tan.

YOUR FIRST RINSE
Rinse at the time given to you at your appointment. Your rinse time is customized depending on the solution used and the depth of colour we’re creating.

For your first rinse, use lukewarm water only and gently use your hands to help remove the bronzer. No body wash, scrubs or loofahs. Pat your skin dry rather than rubbing.

Your tan will continue developing after this rinse, so don’t worry if you look lighter right away.

AFTERCARE
Once your tan has fully developed, moisturize morning + night with an oil and fragrance-free moisturizer. Keeping your skin hydrated is one of the best ways to keep your tan looking even as it naturally fades.

Avoid exfoliating, long hot baths, hot tubs and anything that repeatedly strips or soaks the skin. Swimming and sweating are totally okay, but both can shorten the life of your tan, especially with frequent exposure. Rinsing off after swimming & booking our signature sweat resistant tan will help.

For SPF, opt for a lotion rather than an aerosol spray when possible.

Fun fact: I almost always have a tan. I usually rebook every 10–14 days, moisturize every day, and add a collagen or fade-resistant booster for the most even fade<3
