I quite literally have no words for the first photo on this post. When your bride and groom are both athletes and are confident doing more extreme stunts on their wedding day, AND you’re on an iconic Pittsburgh bridge, you get them climbing. Lauren & John, what an epic, purely Pittsburgh wedding day! We had a classic Pittsburgh church (with a PETAL DROP from the ceiling), classic Pittsburgh bridges and skyline, and some classic Pittsburgh weather. In between on and off rain (that once again was not in the forecast!) we got some INCREDIBLE photos. Just look at Lauren’s magnetic smile- it’s so contagious and we were all wearing one all day long. Annie and Jake’s wedding-what can I say?! Yesterday was about as perfect as a wedding day can get. I could instantly feel the buzz of Annie’s giddiness and playfulness the minute I stepped in to the bridal suite and boy was it contagious! It’s easy to see why these two had such a large wedding party- their kind and fun personalities attract the same energy (they had a champagne wall AND an ICE LUGE at their wedding!). Every detail was so meticulously planned, down to the tiny crystals on the tables topped with feathers that evoked a Vegas/Gatsby vibe (very appropriate for a casino wedding!). I learned a lot about throwing the party of the year and also that if I ever need a good cry, go to a Heisler wedding. I was moved to tears so many times throughout the day and it was so beautiful watching these families share their genuine emotions. Annie & Jake, it was an absolute HONOR sharing your day with you. Your photos are just SO happy and joyful and I can’t help but grin when I look through them. Have so much fun on your honeymoon and enjoy this sneak peek. Barb and Ryan’s wedding was out of this world! Pun very much intended. Their day at the Science Center was so much fun and so relaxed. We even had the mayor of Pittsburgh as the officiant and a Diet Coke tower (shout out to @somethingblue412 !). It’s always special when couples add the touches that mean something to them. We had a quick portrait session on the balcony following their first look, then they got to enjoy the rest of the night! Barb and Ryan- congratulations! Thank you for having us share your day. I will never be over Alyssa & Jared’s woodland fairytale wedding at the Grand Estate. Alyssa channeled Galadriel and their photos look straight out of Lord of the Rings. It was the most perfect day from start to finish and the weather was absolutely delightful. They had the ceremony in the woods they hoped for, killer music selections, time to relax together, and some truly emotional toasts from family and friends. You can’t get any better than that. If joy could be personified, it would be as Morgan & Cameron; to be around them is to smile. It’s an amazing thing to be constantly surrounded by people in love on one of the happiest days of their lives, and Sunday was no exception. I knew that Morgan and Cameron love candid photos, and the best conditions for those are when the couple sticks together throughout the day and genuinely interacts. What an absolutely stunning day for Cassie & Calvin!!!! We had an absolute blast with these two and their crew. Hannah and Nick had a perfectly Pittsburgh wedding! Overlooking the river and the city they love, right next to the stadium of the team the love, they partied and celebrated with their family and friends. I can’t even express how much joy was in the room and at their ceremony. It was like a huge cloud of happy (instead of the huge clouds of rain that passed us right by!) all day.
Hannah and Nick decided on a private first look to shake off the nerves and I was even able to sneak them down to the bar for a drink to sit and soak everything in for a few minutes. We got most of the photos out of the way before the ceremony so these two got to relax and join cocktail hour. I’m all for advocating for you to have the day YOU want, and I’m so glad Hannah & Nick got to celebrate their big day their way. Congratulations you two and have the best time in GREECE!!! 📸❤️

Kameran and Brady- a rainy day wedding dream. I had been excited for this wedding since I photographed Brady’s brother’s wedding last year (shoutout to Abby & Ben!). When I saw the forecast, I had to make some backup plans for rain. I knew their church could be a great location in the event of storms and we did end up using it as our only photo spot. As soon as their ceremony ended and I saw the dark clouds moving in, we switched the schedule up a bit and ran outside for ten minutes of portraits. That was pretty much all we were able to do since the storms kept storming the rest of the night but my GOODNESS did we make the most of those ten minutes. Kam and Brady were a dream couple (I mean, Kam’s bridal look 🤯) and they blew me away with their photos. Congratulations you two and here’s to not letting the rain get you down. You rocked it out and partied the night away and you’re MARRIED!!! Enjoy this sneak peek in to your day ❤️📸

Claryssa & Brenden had one of the prettiest, most intimate wedding days this year! The sky was blue, everyone was smiling, and they danced to an Adam Sandler song for their first dance. We had such an awesome day with these two and they were so relaxed and up for anything. Claryssa & Brenden, congratulations!!! I am so so happy for you both. Double posting today because I couldn’t wait to share. When I tell you I had the BEST evening with Emily and David, I MEAN it! Just look at these two!!! We spent a lot of time deciding on the perfect location for their engagement session and ended up in the Strip District where they had their first date, which concluded with pizza at Bella Notte. Unfortunately they were closed so @pizzeriadavide provided the delicious pie for this session while Bella Notte served as the backdrop! We always figure something out! After our snack, we had some fun in the terminal Market area before heading to one of my favorite garage rooftops for some beers and sunset views (and Pirate jerseys! Go Bucs!) Wowza!!!! Taylor & Jordan rocked this wedding HARD! We were blessed with the first fully sunny wedding day in a long time and the photos sure show it. These two absolutely made the most of their day, enjoyed their people, PLUS got some time alone to soak it all in thanks to our tight management of the timeline. I knew they were going to crush their photos after their engagement session last year and boy did they ever. Just letting go and going with it, living in the moment, and having fun together produce the best images and Taylor and Jordan prove that. I was so honored to be invited to capture these moments.
