This is one of our worst RV sewer disasters… and we had absolutely NO idea how much worse it could have been. 💩🚐

We were camping in Michigan at the end of the season and trying out a honey wagon, aka the poop tank, that our friends Lauren & Nick loaned us.

Nick gave us the full tutorial.

We felt prepared.

We were NOT prepared. 😂

We got to the dump station, hooked everything up, and found out the hard way that the campground sewer was completely backed up.

As in… SEWERAGE FOUNTAIN. 🤢

Turns out a tree had broken through the campground’s sewer lines, and because they were closing for the season, they weren’t fixing it until spring.

At the time, we didn’t know there was anything we could have done differently.

Now we know about Solbio.

Solbio is a 100% natural, plant-based RV holding tank treatment with zero harsh chemicals. It works with the beneficial bacteria already in your tank to help break down waste and toilet paper, and Solbio says it’s fully biodegradable and approved for septic systems and bio-filtration systems. @solbio

And THAT gives me a whole lot more peace of mind when something goes horribly wrong with a campground sewer system.

To be VERY clear: I’m not telling you to dump your RV tank on the ground. Please don’t. 😂

But knowing that you’re treating the waste in your tank with a biodegradable, natural product instead of loading it up with harsh chemicals?

I’ll take that little bit of extra insurance for the next time Mother Nature decides to turn an RV dump station into a water feature.

Because apparently RV life includes poop fountains now.

The whole Nomadic team on bottling duty — turns out hand-filling a few hundred Solbio tank treatments is basically a team sport now. Massive thanks to @solbio for keeping us stocked so we could share the love with creators at America's Largest RV Show. If you don't know Solbio yet, their tank treatments are a staple for keeping your black and gray tanks fresh and clean — no RVer should be without them. Still time to win a 2-year supply for yourself.
