Geisha coffee is rare because it only grows well in certain places with a high elevation, nutrient-rich soil, and specific weather. No other country can match the growing conditions and unique microclimates of Panama.

This cup was brewed using a Hario V60 ceramic with a 1:16 ratio. 20 grams of @soleilbrandsllc Geisha Joya using a Timemore grinder at 13 clix. 205 F water temp with a CAFEC SFP filter paper. 4 pours (70g, 90g, 90g, and 70g).

Soleil Coffee is releasing a new Geisha in our Joya Collection: Reserva de Cabaña 4 ANC - produced by HLE - triple crown winner at Best of Panama last year.

This Hacienda La Esmeralda lot was cupped at origin earlier this year. It was chosen for its juicy and tropical expression.

The lot was harvested on February 19th, 2026 from the highest elevation of the Cabaña lot in Hacienda La Esmeralda’s Cañas Verdes Farm. After harvest, the coffee cherries were fermented
for 5 days in a stainless-steel anaerobic tank in a cold fermentation room. Finally, the drying phase was completed in a climate - controlled drying room for 28 days in an indoor facility with constant airflow andprecise temperature and humidity control.

Reserva de Cabaña 4 ANC has notes of
jasmine, peach, hibiscus and brown sugar.

A coffee “Bloom” is the bubbling and unlocking of the florals, fruitiness, and sweetness in coffee by the introduction of hot water over the coffee grinds. This is the rapid release of the trapped carbon dioxide in the beans after roasting. Coffee naturally degasses over time. A freshly roasted coffee will have a rising bloom.
