A dump fr

Currently still in Guinea , enjoying the last few days I have here and I’m honestly just happy to be here .

I made a post a few weeks ago talking about I don’t feel that Guinean bc of my looks and personality but all that ain’t reallyyyy my prerogative no more.
I’m not just Guinean and I’m also not just Angolan/portuguese .

I came to Guinea to know where my mom is from, hear stories about how she grew up .
Who were the people that touched her heart , why she feels like she is everyone’s momma 😩
Who are or were her friends , who the girl was before she became a woman and before she left to a foreign country where she could not even speak the language .
I honestly didn’t think I’d have such a great time in Guinea , if you African you know :
If you visit family in the motherland there is a high possibility there are constant visitors and you don’t get to see as much from your own country .

I can gladly say this was not the case at all.
N***a Ive been to Sierra Leone , the way I got there is a story for another day LMFAOOO

Most of my family I’ve only seen once in my life ,when I came here in 2008 ,
STILL majority remembers us and greets us with love and open arms .
I will never take that for granted.
Met so many beautiful people on this trip 🥹

I have not been on here for ever ,
so I’m posting a lil dumpitty dump

I hope you enjoy Conakry / Labé through my lens .
And shoutout to my parents ,for being who they are .
People see us on the street in my moms village and know we are our parents children hahahaha

And I love that 🥹😭

Just three short weeks ago, we were lucky enough to be at @sohohouse in Berlin for our new series ‘Cloud 9’ session.

We were treated to a wonderful evening where we watched Fayim [mainact] share the stage with Ish, Myléne Gomera and D.$AHIN. They all played their beautiful music for the guests while enjoying the amazing views of Berlin from the rooftop.
It was truly a magical evening!

Exciting News everybody! We’re teaming up with Soho House Berlin for our new ‘Cloud 9’ House Sessions, spotlighting local artists we admire to a carefully selected group of people. This multilingual affair will feature main act Fayim, ISH, D.$AHIN, and poet Mylène Gomera. A pilot edition centering RnB, indie and alternative realms of self-expression.

Unfortunately, the event is invite-only due to very limited seating but stay tuned for an exhilarating recap video;) We can’t wait to share the magic with you all!
